Backtracking a lot, but I essentially wrote a love story of a tentacle-man and a human girl and the people of AH loved it; maybe I'll do it.

You misunderstand me. I love the game.
It's just when I thought about it while not playing it, I realized there were so many glaring flaws and failures.
For instance, it was made in 2000. Know what else was made in 2000?
Final Fantasy 10.
There's no real excuse for the graphics to be that bad (and still on lolPSX). Also, it needs an extraordinary amount of proofreading.
As far as gameplay is concerned, though, it wins pretty hard. Maybe that's what keeps me coming back.

Regardless, wtf at the company who spent so long on it and then released it when the PS2 had only just begun flourishing. Had they wait just a lil longer and tweaked it, TLoD would be a much better looking title and possibly have a sequel. :x

Smaller development team on LoD, and it was in the works for years. It took years to make LoD, it took FFX about 12 months with a 32mil+ budget and a huge team of specialists.

Hence why it never made much money and any hope of a sequel was shut down.
I'm basically saying it's a good effort for the amount of people but they should have taken out a huge-*** loan or something and hired more people that knew what they were doing.
Plus they got freakin' lazy with a lot of the dialog.
