She has a lot of fluid in her abdomen causing lots of pain. She couldn't even speak when she went to the ER last night. Sister just got back and told me what happened

I hope she'll be okay.

She will be. They just are going to drain the fluid but still I don't like my mom in pain or in the hospital :( going to try to visit her between my classes today

hey guys, i'm back and i had a horrible night last night

so i was there on my bed and one of the cats is laying with me. i had been petting it, and i reach over to get a sip of water from my water bottle, and while i am my cat reaches over and pulls my arm over, spilling the water all over my bed.

well, some of the water runs underneath my computer, so i get it up quickly, and as im moving it, it shuts down. well i try to turn it on and it just beeps and the light under the capslock key blinks. and it does nothing. so i nearly panic. i get a dry blanket and start wiping it off, and then i take off the battery/harddrive cover and theres a little water under there too, so i nearly panic more. so i dry that off as best as i can, and it still doesnt come on. so i tell me sister and she says to get some rice, put it in a bag and sit the computer on top of the rice and close the bag, leaving it over night.

i do that and thankfully this morning it turns on and runs fine... except, the trackpad isnt working and the keyboard isnt working right. when it logged on it acted like the trackpad and keyboard were just plugged in for the first time, so it detected and started installing them, but then it errored out of both. so the trackpad didnt work and the keyboard acted like the shift key was permanently pressed down (i tried to send word this morning, but shift+click does not hit submit =/)(i have an extra mouse i sometimes use on it and it worked fine, minus the shift problem)

so im gonna try turning it on again and see if it loads right, and if it doesnt im gonna try to use my mac CD to reload the drivers, and if that doesnt work i may be kinda screwed until i can get a new cheap computer and transfer my stuff to that.

Probably still a little wet. Some people put it in the oven (at low temperatures of course) to dry it out, but naturally I would think a lot of people worry too much about their investment to do that. Leaving it wet inside is bad, if you can't dry it out completely.

You could try using a hair dryer on it (at lower temperature) to dry out the connections also. Just be aware that hair dryers put out some EMF due to the nature of their operation so keep it back away from the computer if you do that (assuming it's a laptop.)

Otherwise, hopefully it's under warranty coverage still. ;_;

I haven't had pez in like forever, never really liked it but it's ok if it's the only thing.

i once dropped a phone in water when i was young. i then took out the battery and put it out in the sun for a day. next day turned it on and worked perfect with a few bubbles on the screen

I dropped my MP3 player in the school toilet once :|

thank god it was just cleaned.

the mouse works now, but the keyboard is still goofy, and now it wont charge, or connect to AC power, trying to start it up in mac os, then turning it off

ok i restarted it in os x, and it seems everything is working fine, but i couldnt remember my password to log into my account

i bought pizza bites at the grocery store like 3 months ago and even baked they were inedible

hot and ready > shitty freezer pizzabagels

I had pizza ready to make for lunch today but ... ended up not having them.
