The one time I solo'd the damn thing (well I had a whm friend help and dual boxed a smn to get claim), another time I got jipped as I couldn't get 2-3 people to hop out of sky to assist.
Right after summoner burns were discovered and exploited, YY robe camp was stuffed to the brim. Claiming it was tough as nails.

on Bismarck, there were multiple groups capped on the robe, camping it anyways, selling the *claim* and the drop.
It was fun getting levels for sitting around doing nothing. Sure, skills were undercapped, but it was still damn fun.

I think I had my alt on the PS2 at the time, mobs do still load faster on it, at least last I checked.
Skilling was always easy for me, never got why people bitched about it. I mean leveling smn at the time besides that pretty much was using /whm and pretending to be a main healer and that sure as hell didn't get any skill ups.

Well, it was a pain in the *** trying to skill up dagger on small vermin and killing them in one shot. It meant running through a lot of mobs. But, it was still better than grinding through Colibri and... /shudder Imps.
I preferred lolibri.
Those were fun times in the camps where the normal and greater colibri would mimic most spells except blu spells

Well, the colibri weren't terrible. But those *** imps... As a RDM, the imps were my worst nightmare. "Sorry I can't cure you, but I've been silenced and I can't use abilities. You're pretty much ***."
I remember soloing imps on 70-75 smn, that was annoying, but fun at the same time.
