I agree with this, First i had was yellow, then crystal. never could get into the later generation games. In crystal I think I had just about every shape of Unown there was to catch. lol

Yeah pokemon like those keys are what would turn me off the series. At least most of the gen 1, with exception for voltorb and the magnet one, almost seemed like they could be actual creatures.

i had the original blue and a gameboy color i got for christmas one year, but really i was a little too old when pokemon caught on. i've never finished a pokemon other than that blue.



oh and pokemon snap. i had a friend that had that game. for whatever reason, i thought it was the bee's knees.

Yep... Exactly. I think they are running out of ideas. They've begun looking at things in the office for inspiration, next gen will have a potato chip Pokemon who evolves into a bag of potato chips Pokemon. (Yes, there is a bag of chips behind my laptop atm.)

Concept art of some gen5 Pokemon can be traced back to gen1/2. Don't see how they're any less "natural" than any of the earlier Pokemon.

I miss Secret Bases. They'd be so much fun with the online capabilities now. The ones in gen4 were such a disappointment.

To an extent this is true, but lately it's become a little.... unimaginative? (don't get me wrong, it's still addicting as crap... lol) It went from kinda goofy and cute to ... just meh.

helix is just an item that they tried to use frequently, by mistake, and it happened so much it became a thing where we consulted the helix to guide us. Then it became something they worshiped, and that the helix fossil is the supporter of anarchy, and the dome fossil is the supporter of democracy. Democracy is evil, which is why they worship helix and not dome.

I hear ya... I accidentally walked across the scales at work the other day... I've stopped snacking and eating large portions and fatty foods.
