I have some random thoughts that i've been trying to figure out for a while, maybe someone can help me!

I've been STRONGLY debating on coming back to play for a month or two, probably till XIV comes out.
My problem is, i don't know where to start!

I have two accounts, because i had started over with bf on a new account a while back.
Long story short, i ended up really hating the name i gave my character.
So here are my options!

I either play that new account, but reroll a new character, keeping all of my gil and armor from before, OR
i reactivate this particular account, with quite a few jobs leveled, but next to no gear and no gil.
(Also i don't particularly care for the name, yet again... this was meant to be more of an alt character to PL my new one, after a while.)

I guess my worry is reactivating, and having no LS or friends or anyone to talk to or help. Running around the game by myself is ridiculously lonely, especially if I'm not going to have any level 99s and will need help with some of the level limit caps.

what do i do! :(

If you hate the name that much, you could always jump servers, make a mule on new server with same name 1st so the system forces you to change names at login.

Don't really have the money to be re-activating and transferring though :( boyfriend is also on phoenix with me, so if he decides to play again that's another 35 or so dollars we'd have to spend. :\

Just wait until Phase 4 starts and play that. Play some singleplayer stuff until then

Well i definitely plan to, but there's so little to do (that's entertaining for me, at least) in between beta phases :c
I guess you're right though. The game has been running so long that maybe it's not worth it at this point to start up from scratch all over again. Thanks for the responses guys :>

depending on how long you've been gone it's not worth it. unless you go back to a certain ls or a group of friends you're gonna end up in the awkward inbetween phase. it's annoying to get up to date. i personally got sick of it kinda quick. i'd just wait for xiv.

Trying to get animations unique to each enemy to work...

Closest I've managed to get so far would require me to limit battles to 1 type of enemy, so I wouldn't be able to make anything decent...

Nothing, its just society being dumb and trying to make people feel bad about being happy and single, or choosing to not have children, etc

It's all about perception. think of it like this; as long as you're single you're definitely not in a relationship with honey boo mother. Really, you've lucked out.

FFXIV Beta Test Phase 3, Part 5 will begin Wednesday, July 10th and end Monday, July 15th. This will be the conclusion of Phase 3. The beginning of Phase 4 will be announced at a later time, the phase 4 client will be different from Phase 3 and all character data WILL be deleted.

To reuse character appearance data, do not delete the following files...

My Documents -> My Games -> FINAL FANTASY XIV - A Realm Reborn (Beta Version)
PlayStation 3
XMB -> Game -> Saved Data Utility (PS3TM)

This data cannot be used after phase 4.

There are plenty of people that never gave themselves a chance to be single, and they really should have. Plenty of my friends have jumped from one relationship to another because they were scared of being single and alone.

I know several people like that and never understand why they do it. Foreveralone is under rated!
