I'm sad that they are making the story simpler to understand in DS2 : ( One of my favourite parts of the game has been seeing the different theories people have come up with and piecing everything together.
That's how I took it anyways.
I won't know until I play it, and I prefer not to go in with a negative opinion. If I do then I'll end up looking for the bad in the game instead of what I enjoy most about it.

Ever since the preview, I've heard nothing but good things about it. Being able to fight a boss midway through the level is a great opportunity, if done right. Whether it's done right or not has yet to be seen though.
I always love the concept of fighting something early, and if you're good enough then it's possible that you could take it down early, and be rewarded for your efforts. Almost no game ever does that, because they want you to go through the whole level, watch the story they forced you to experience, good or bad, and a bunch of BS just to have a chance to fight.

so here I am at the drive thru to mcdonalds and I order me a small frappe and I pull up to the first window and pay and then pull up to the second window and it takes them forever and I zone out until the window opens and I automatically hand the lady my card again..and she was like "whoa..did you not pay already?" and I was all "wait! yes I did! I did too pay!.....I have my receipt right here" and then I couldnt find my receipt and I couldn't remember what I did with it....she was all "whatever, just take your drink"
I did pay..I swear...I found my receipt after I got home, it fell between the seats...now I feel like a frappe thief.
I'm so going to get Alzheimers when I'm old.
