Simple, I am a very tall person, i do not fit well into little cars. I love the clearance, space between bottom of the vehicle to the ground, of trucks over cars. Trucks are far more versitile and useful than cars, can move more stuff and can be put to work. In my mind, the only thing cars have over trucks is that cars typically have better gas milage.

Anything smaller than an SUV or a truck has my knees up to my chin.

Like me,you're one of the few that speak in logic when picking a vehicle. Here you're lucky to see a pick up truck once every 6 months. And when you do its "holy *** someone here has a pick up truck" and everyone stares

I'm not super tall but most cares make my legs feel cramped. My dad has an 07 honda civic sedan, when I bought my car I got the 08 civic coupe because it has like an extra foot of leg room for the driver and passenger.
Worth it!

When I can afford it, I want to get a jeep. It's almost a crime living out here and not able to crawl on some rocks.

That's interesting, in the fact that it is true ALOT of americans have trucks just to have trucks. Like you credited me, i think about what i am buying and all the pros and cons. For example, when i was picking what features i wanted them to build into my truck, i turned down 4 wheel drive, the v-8 supercharge engine, the high end towing package, ect ect. I turned down all the "Suped up" features because to be honest, when the hell am i going to use them? 4 wheel drive, if you don't use it at least 2 or more times a month, is a complete waste. It sucks up extra gas and can lead to more problems down the line. Extra power for towing? Sorry but 5,000 lbs towing is more than enough to help move furniture or tow a boat. Not like i am going to move a tractor trailer any time soon. As for the V-8, what in the hell do i need all that horse power for? To rev my engine at stop lights and suck up 1 galleon of gas each time i touch the gas peddle? Thanks but i'll stick to the standard V-6 that can still do the work i need it to.

Seriously, if i want people to know what i am doing, i will call you or use some other way to let you know. Even on this forum, yall don't know what i do on a daily basis and, no offense, yall don't need to know. I do not have a facebook or twitter account and i seem to get along life just fine.

Let's be honest too, for those of you that say "It lets me connect with old friends," well, isnt there a reason why you lost contact with them in the first place? if it's been more than a few months since you talked to someone and it isnt because of a deployment, why not just keep it that way...

We tried putting the crib together today. When we did the first time, it was 4 years ago and there was this super nifty little piece of paper that said wtf all the pieces were, but one of us tossed it after we got it together. Ovr's all Negative Nancy about it and I'm just like "well obviously we're good at screwing stuff or we wouldn't need a crib to start with." With that logic, he agreed to try.

3 hours and 2 smashed fingers later and it's basically all just leaning together cuz we gave up. There are six types of bolts and 3 types of brackets for it. Wth happened to wood glue and screws, man?!
