I'm the same way. I've probably turned down something close to rank 1 simply because I thought it was stupid for a number to begin with 0, or essentially missing a digit. I got mad when the moogle suggested giving me a marble with just "77" and nothing else.
I just mash my number pad and make sure I have 0~9 as a last digit on my marbles. totally legit

SE should just cut the *** and make all their previously exclusive in game equipment purchasable. I'd love to get me a Tidal Talisman and original Harpsichord, as well as the silly Mandragora Wand I forgot to redeem during my in game break but expired :(
