I guess I am about the only Military member on my server lol. I am in the Airforce out of Korea right now, moving to Japan in the next couple of months. Yes I know Chairforce and all the great jokes that come from that lol. Unlike the rest of my branch I DO work constant 12 hr shifts and sometimes have no weekends. It does cause pains for having in game fun but I have mannaged to work it pretty well I think. I think by requesting certain shift scheduals from my leadership helps. But you don't always get what you want we all know that lol. I have been in a couple of endgame LSs but I always make it clear to the leaders of the shell that I can't always be on because my ties with the military and have had no problems from the shells because of this. To be honest if a shell lets you go because you are absent from events and you notified them you wont be around for a bit then thats not a good shell to be in anyways. Great respect to the rest of my brothers and sisters out there fighting the good fight. I am proud to stand side by side with every one of you each day. May each of you have a great day!

I'm guessing security forces? Anywho, if that is in fact the case, I'm sorry ;; (unless of course you like it). I'm a 2E652, Communications cable and Antenna Systems Journeyman, gotta say i feel your pain as far as looking at a lot of the afsc's and going wow.... desk jockey much?

I was in the Navy, didn't make it through basic. was going to be a Nuke EM! Then I made a comment about overdosing on painkillers...they didn't like that, to say the least. Never did drugs of any kind oher than acetaminophen, anyway. 99 on my ASVAB, the Navy guys called me as soon as I got my scores. XD

I miss serving in the Corp and went to reenlist, but they said I had to many Anger issues (What f%^kin anger issues I say they come with the job!/Viscious grin)

For any Marines who post "Semper Fi" for all others who have served "Thank you"

I thought that was criteria for a Marine or was it insanity? j/k :P Have a few devil dog buds. we rag on each other.

Active Air Force in Alaska (ya stateside my ***!) soon to be Korea. Going on 11 yrs in May. Statics I did't have much issue since most of my jobs are with my fiance. As for Social/Event LS events we try to plan for weekends as that's when we have the bulk online.

The only Endgame I really did for awhile (if you consider it Endgame) was Dynamis. Unfortunately when my promotion came thru it shot my schedule to hell. I wear so many hats now we're expanding the height of teh doors so I don't have to duck.

If timezones seem to be an issue, and you don't mind JPs, try joining some of their events. I had a static exp for abit when I was in Ohio with a good group.

Another thing you could try is make your own. There are QUITE ALOT of mil on the servers. Though an all military LS could seem like a night at the E or O Club.

Youd be suprised at the number of military members especially say navy nukes. But yeah i couldnt do much endgame stuff till i got out. Could never have enough points to beat anyone else. Not to mention occasionally doing things like working 14-20 hours a day for 7 days a week... or having to stay on the boat every 2-3 days all day yeah endgame just couldnt happen. Hell i had to more or less quit for a good 4-6 months twice cause of it.

Marine Corps here (Reserves. I'm also a contractor with the USMC). I'm fortunate in that I don't have to deal with deployments due to my status / unit. Hopefully I can squeeze out the next year and a half without getting deployed.

Air Force stateside. I have a problem of being stationed in the Mountain Time Zone and most people in my LS will schedule things for either Eastern or Greenwich Mean Time so typically I'm just getting in the door after work when weekday events are just ending. That and having a baby that's not even a year old makes it hard to have much time.

My solution for the most part has been to use my time on weekdays to do some gardening or find a quick exp pt and grind at the best one level. My LS understands people have a life outside the game and usually tries to arrange major things like a CoP run for Saturdays. As for if I was to deploy I would just tell my friends "Laters" and pick up where I left off when I return.

I feel ya on this. Mountain Time kinda blows to do endgame stuff. Get home from work and see all the /shouts in WG, but since it's around 5-6p I'm usually just sitting down to eat with the family. Deployments really kept me from progressing for the most part. I usually end up taking a looooong break because I just didn't feel like getting back on there knowing I'm far behind the curve. I just started back up in June after a 365 deployment that ended in November. Got on for the simple fact that all my ingame friends kept leaving me comments on facebook. Really I never tried for an EGLS after seeing and hearing all the drama, plus having a family now doesn't allow me to have a set time to play.

Ya I know...all EGLS on the server are pretty much closed cause they got their ppl. Rest are ones that have the shell leads get what they want and then break it.

Former Marines here

I think it depends on your unit, mostly. I was a mechanic in 2nd Maint. on Camp Lejeune and we had a basic 7am-4pm every day and weekends off, so I didn't have much issue.

While I had duty or something though, I just stuck it out and did what I could for a couple hours before going to sleep. I guess late-night Dynamis led to some sleep deprivation though, lol

Navy Vet, spent 10 years in aviation and deployment schedules were very unsupportive of any static or commited end game activities. I found a social shell that did a small bit of endgame for fun and was able to tag along with them when i was available. my last year active, in was on shore duty i was able to get into a more stable work schedule and join a dynamis shell and do some sky. during my active duty time, when not on deployments, i did some crafting and leveling up jobs and other various activities that did not require a shell.
