what job to lvl
well ive been getting bored with PLD witch is at 65 and wanted to lvl another not a big fan of mage jobs i was thinking cor but it cost alot anyone got any ideas?

if you want something inexpensive and fun, try drg or drk hell, even war all you really need are to upgrade your weapons every now and then.
yea but the question is marksmanship or archery and no way im lvling sam everyone and their mother lvls it lol

I've got my RNG to lvl 70, WAR 75 and BLM 75. I would have to say that RNG was the most fun and I am not done with it yet =) So I would have to give the nod to COR since you don't want to lvl RNG. =)

It depends entirely on two things; which you think looks cooler, which is easier to obtain. The best Crossbow is easyish to obtain. The best Bow is slightly harder however, and if you choose to buy it, may set you back by at least 4mil.
I'm personally going for Archery, despite having 8/8 Marksmanship Merits, because I have Vali's Bow. I also prefer how Mithra's look shooting arrows as opposed to crossbows ;)
As for price, they are both about the same anyways to maintain (ammo wise).

About 20 hours in total, 1/3, and I'm one of the "lucky" ones. It really is the best bow though, asides from Yoichiyo...etc, so well worth it in my opinion!

While on some days, I'd rather have the Vali's Bow, there are days I absolutely love the S Bow.
Mainly the days I need the R Acc and can stack more STR on my RNG than R Acc.
It's really situational though.

Quiting the job before you get chain affinity(40) is a big mistake.
Make sure you have the $$$ for RNG before you start or you'll get stuck. Leveling woodworking is always a good idea. Also, if you decide to level COR you might also look into leveling goldsmithing and alchemy for your bullets and cards.

Only Silver Bullets use Goldsmithing, which COR can't equip.

I have 75 rng and adore it. However, it'll be expensive if you don't have woodworking leveled up to make your own arrows (assuming you don't use a gun, in which case you'll have to level up smithing or alchemy or whatever for bullets.) Anyways, but I've also begun leveling sam and war up a bit more, and I love both of those as well. (But maybe I don't count, I love anything that allows me to do ridiculous amounts of damage.) Let's see. Thief is fun and useful. Mnk looks fairly dull and boring but I've known people who love it so you might like that, too, and it would likely be cheaper than ranger, corsair, or thief. Everyone except corsairs like ninjas, so you might like that, too. It all depends on what you want!

Yep. It's cheaper to buy them off the AH if you can't HQ them out the wazoo, at least on Garuda.
A good DRK can be expensive to level. My cor was cheaper to level than DRK, maybe because i had marksmanship capped for a 75 drk when i leveled cor....but still it shouldnt be TOO expensive. Cor is fun as hell too lol and fast invites. PUP is also fun but is expensive if u get certain attachments such as haste. RNG is fun but mine is only 37 and iv already spent a ton on it, maybe b/c i get the best i can usually, but still it can get pricey. NIN is fun...well...is after 37. Pre-37 i hated it lol.
It's the Rolls that kills a Corsair's bank. Altogether they cost 890k. Probably more than you'd spend on Ammunition on Ranger to 75.
Aw Wooooodum, I was joking. The whole pirates vs. ninjas thing makes me laugh. I didn't mean that all cors dislike nins! And most cors on my server sub nin, so they'd have to like it at least a little.
ninja edit: *with the woodworking, yeh, I hq a lot but I'm also only a couple points away from level 80 on that. so it might be cheaper to buy them I guess, if you can't hq. I totally didn't even think about that!

I don't know about that, 1-37 was an absolute piece of rubbish. No wonder people are put off Ninja for life. It's fantastic at 75 though, couldn't ask for a more fun campaign job!

i cant take parties at those lvls need 243523k xp to lvl and gotta party for 24hrs to get a lvl lol
