Goldsmithing is also used to make regular bullets which are made from brass.
SAM I leveled first before it was a bandwagon job, then SCH, but I really don't want to use it in endgame. Now I'm preparing for COR by leveling Goldsmithing and eventually smithing. It works out perfect since I already had Alchemy at 83.

Getting all of those spells, especially the 'breaking' particular weapon(s) spells. Or ones in suicidal areas. Not the job itself. :P

I'd love to play Cor as well, but I just don't have gil to blow like that yet. And I'm not going to be a cheap Cor so I won't level it until I gets all the stuffs.
Just takes patience but spell learning is a blast in ToAU areas with 12-18 Blus recking mobs.

You should give Blu another shot.
However I recommend finishing Pld to 75 then going back and trying out all the other jobs till 37 at least so you have a good amount of experience with each and have all possible subs for when the time comes when you find one you really enjoy.
