To save arguements over calling it yellow or green. Simple as that. If you look at the .dat of the '!!', it's pretty hard to decide which it belongs to, so to make things simple and to clarify, both colours were amalgamated into one: grellow.

Its a combination of green and yellow. People could not decide what color it was and some person who started figuring it out dubbed it grellow.

How does the whole SAM magic attack bonus jinpu thing work? Can i just set a couple of MAB atmas and go to town?

Pretty much, some MAB gear would help too.

I would love to go back to 2006 and tell SAMs that the best WS earrings in 2011 were moldavite/novio earrings, I would get burned on a stake

Does Drain Samba HP drained from regular hits count as additional damage or just a % of damage done to a mob = drained hp?

It's additional damage. Your killing blow never drains HP because there's no more HP to drain ergo it's actually draining HP from the mob directly.

It's additional damage. Your killing blow never drains HP because there's no more HP to drain ergo it's actually draining HP from the mob directly.

Interesting, thanks.

When two planes nearly collide in mid-air why do they call it a near miss? It's a near hit.. A collision is a near miss ~insert crashing noises~ "Oh look! They nearly missed!".

Incorrect.

"The HP acquired from the mob does not do any additional damage, it simply restores HP to the player (similar to Blood Weapon). "

Maybe it's termed that because they missed each other but at a very close range or 'near' each other, so 'near' miss.

being still new to melee roles i don't really have a firm grasp on the difference between DW and Haste. If trying to hit the 26% gear haste cap do you calculate DW Enhancements with the Haste %s 1:1? I do understand there is a difference between the 2 specifically with TP gain per hit but was more curious in if it's even calculated together or separate, the same or different for haste cap.

I still got a long way to go before I wouldn't be ashamed to bring out my NIN to any half way real setting but wouldn't mind knowing this :)

DW does not count towards the gear haste cap. It does however count towards the overall delay reduction cap.

(1-DW%)*(1-haste%)

Total up your DW and haste from all sources and plug it in to that equation. If your result is less than 0.2 (80% total delay reduction), you're exceeding the hard cap.

Also, remember that while it's 26% numerically, to the game engine it's 25% (256/1024). Fractions and rounding etc.

fml & thank you.

p.s. i did know about the 25% thingy but figured it's just easier to say 26% :)

I thought rule of thumb was it was legal to beat your wife with a stick less than the size of your thumb.

Also simply put, magnets are the same forces that hold all matter together just on a larger scale. Intermolecular forces ftw!

It's actually not additional damage. You can kill a mob by draining it, a mob can kill itself hitting you with dread spikes up, but you'll never kill a mob w/ the dmg from samba, because it deal no damage.

Incredibly stupid question incoming...

How do you precast in fastcast as a BRD without spellcast? Could someone give me a macro in example because whenever I try it doesn't seem to work.
