The day he posted that he was wearing his CW set so it did appear on his profile.
Not sure if he meant that, i couldn't see anything on his item sets either.

i'm at the point of gathering set for CW.
farmed atmas atm too. got lion yesterday.

so you guys suggesting to go fully on DEX+?
i saw many different builds. also with INT+

if i go DEX+ atmas setup: ultimate, rr, lion?
why not BH instead of lion?

got access to lion, mm, ultimate, rr so far.

waiting on your answer before i get broke on stuff which i won't use :)

Lion, Blinding Horn and Ultimate are the best set of atmas, I think.
Personally just not to mess up my "recently used" atma list, I just use Ultimate, Lion and MM.

But as long as I use 1 whirl of rage, pretty much any pull dies from that + CW.

what are best places to start?
some mobs are more resistant to magic i think.
i've tried la theine on frogs.
w/o gear swaps, w/o atmas.
nearly died to two frogs ;)

by then at least i got better atmas (lion and ultimate)
i wonder if i can solo BH on NIN/DNC with this equip:



all red staggers available but club (had to go /war but will loose stun)
capped EVA+merits+9 AGI merits. can get a new eva torque and boxer's mantle if needed.

and i wonder if it's possible to dodge Lighttning Spear by moving to the side of NM like it was possible on Dark Ixion.

lol just got my first attempt on BLU/RDM with some gear dex+int+mab that i had in MH + atma of lion, ultimate, rr.
bougth only Jupiter's staff :)



half of my MP was gone on buffs xD

pulled two detectors > whirl (one detector got hit for 677, second resisted) > dream flower > enervation > planilune embrance > CW > BAM! both got hit for 2800 dmg xD

MP left for Sheep song and Run away! xD

didn't used Efflux nor Chain Affinity.

i'm too weak lol.

well, why on earth would you use wlegs, atheling mantle, af gloves, spirit torque and twilight belt in CW set? :p
Basicly I don't think it's possible to do well without gearswaps, atleast not alone.
Also remember to switch to a sword for whirl, as it's based on your melee acc, and you have really low accuracy with a staff.

Also, another reason I love MM is the refresh, makes me able to keep going for ages even without lots of 2hr chests (like when I do trials and cba to cap lights first)

use ba, can probably get a deceit mask for cheap, teal saio, teal slops or af3 or wlegs work with mab augment, nifty mantle, you can get a free jupiter's ring from a quest, warwolf belt, artemis medal. get af3 hands/legs/feet upgraded, especially feet.

as i said. i went whit gear i've found in MH xD
bought only staff ;]

did some tweaking to my gear:



i'm working on feet atm. with 2 box NIN+WHM got 3 WHM seals, 1 DRK and 1 BLU out of 4 bomb kills. with yellow up 1 WHM dropped.
can't believe how lucky i am ;)

with ascetic's tonic + bust affinity + memnto + planilune and enervation on mobs was able to pull 4 800dmg. had to resleep and finish with thunderbolt.
still need to speed up things, cos MAD debuff wears before i'm able to cast sleep + nuke.

used lion / ultimate / mm atma. working on BH.

what you guys think about replacing Teal saio with this:

Depending on which mobs you'r pulling, 4800 dmg should be enough dmg that you easily can finish them off with CA whirl(just remember to switch to a sword)
I think Teal is better then praeco, but Loki's kaftan is probably better than both, as long as you have BA on.
If you'r ever in doubt about using INT or DEX gear, I think 1 dex and 1 int are pretty much equal, but with BA active, the DEX value doubles.
Can keep that in mind when you upgrade your gear

1 DEX is worth about 5 INT with Burst Affinity and Mavi Basmak +2

They have exactly the same amount of MAB.

Is anyone having problems casting enervation, I pull all my mobs and go to cast the spell and get "You cannot attack that target" even if I have it claimed it still won't let me. Any ideas?

If you use spellcast, it could be that your resources are messed up and it's auto correcting things all wrong. But that's a pretty rare issue with such an old spell.

Yea, happenened with Fantod on BST also, when using Falcorr.

I forgot what you had to add to the macro though, in order to make it work. Can't make it through the menu, can just type it out or make a macro.

Maybe it was something like /raw /ma "spell" <t>

it is but then your spellcast rules and sets won't work with it.

Just need to fix your resources "IF" that's the issue.

Can test by unloading spellcast or using the raw though.

I do use sc so what would you do to fix that lol -.-;

Try a cast with it spellcast unloaded. See if it works. If it does then you can attempt to update.

To update resources just type in //updateresources in the chatlog or open the console and type updateresources. As a note, your resources should be updated automatically everytime you log in.

There is also another file that may need to be updated but this one requires you to manually download it and save over it.

Ok well back on the game unloaded spellcast could cast enervation w/o any issues, loaded it back up and same problem, did //updateresources and it did its usual thing but didn't add anything new, tried using spell again same problem. So I took that manual way and did that and still not working :/

Hmm. perhaps your spellcast is doing something to it. Such as canceling the spell or something else weird.

Do you know how to get a debug log?

Just put this in your spellcast, you may have some of them but the only important one for this particular test is Debug="true"


Once you place this portion in your XML then reload the xml in game using /sc r and then attempt to cast the spell.

After that you should have a debug log with your character's name in it(like this: debug_charname.log) that will appear in the spellcast folder.

If you can post the contents of that log file to a pastebin or in a spoiler or something then I can examine it to see if it's causing the issue.

This file basically displays every action spellcast goes through as it reads your incoming commands and then takes action based on your rules. You can use this to figure out where your sc is messing up and how it handles various rules.
