I swear the patch better fix it. I'm fully ready to make another character after I finish with this one...but if the lag issue is still present...probably won't do that. And that sucks because I really really like this game. I'll hit the PS button and it'll freeze trying to load that too, eventually restarting itself. Anyone else get that issue too? On another note, anyone watch Game of Thrones? I watched half of the first episode and immediately thought of Skyrim. The town in the beginning is just this walled city in the middle of a brown grassland, like Whiterun. I know, I know, the whole "Take an hour to make face - Wear helmet forever", but every character I create I take painstaking effort to make the perfectly detailed character, and it makes me feel like this.

Got two saves, one non-werewolf, and one werewolf foreverrrr. Just for fun I continued my Zelda character name trend and lovingly named all my characters fittingly:
Paladin Build - Nord Male - Link Dark Knight Build - Orc Male - Ganon Mage Build - High Elf Female - Midna Sneaky Archery Build - Wood Elf Female - Sheik Not really sure where Zelda would fit in. Not much I could do with going restoration and alteration in terms of battle. Anyone else having fun with themed character builds/names? Not much I could do with going restoration and alteration in terms of battle. Anyone else having fun with themed character builds/names? Yes, actually. My characters are all built around/named after characters from the "Inheritance Cycle." (Eragon book series.) Vanir - Altmer Male, Pure Mage. Nasuada - Redguard Female, Pure Melee specialist. Blodgarm - Kajiit Male, Stealth-Mage Hybrid, Tempted to make a into a werewolf so the name fits better. Murtagh - Imperial Male, All-Rounded Character, nothing specific. I've still only made one character.
Kraven Mor'Haed - Nord Sword and Shield/Blacksmith Also trying to keep him within the law, though I do release stormcloak prisoners if I see them. For SOME REASON I am using light armor even though I melee everything. Next playthrough I intend to make a Lillica, going to qual wield daggers and throw absorb health on them so it is like drain samba. Had issues of being stuck and couldn't do anything but restart such a great game but needs some post patch release love.... ^
So exactly how broken is the PS3 version? It's personally unplayable for me atm. Waiting for the patch. Even then I have my doubts with what they can achieve in 2 weeks what they have overlooked in 4 years of development. Sylph.Beelshamen said: » ^ So exactly how broken is the PS3 version? Considering they never fixed most of the problems with Fallout Vegas on PS3, good luck. PS3 was my only choice. I don't have a PC(only a notebook).
At least theres nothing as bad as the Isabella bug from dragon age 2. Although I'm still not conviced it wasnt in there as a cruel joke based off her... ways.

Walked up to my first giant, figured he'd be tough so I drank some potions, cast a few buff spells... And got one-shotted into the lower atmosphere. It seems like the newer and "shinier" a Bethesda game is, the worse they get as far as bugs go. Older games from them rarely had much wrong with them IMO, and if they did have bugs they weren't game breaking.
Dunno what all was wrong with Fallout, but it wasn't anything noticeable to me anyways. New Vegas was a damn train wreck. Almost every single quest had something wrong with it. As for Elder Scrolls: Morrowind had very little wrong with it. Oblivion had a few things here and there but nothing too major. Skyrim seems like they didn't have a single person test the game beyond "turn on game > OOOH SHINY! WORKS GREAT! > release game". How the *** did nobody notice ***like 360 texture issues, or PS3 lag, or crap quests early on that just hang at a certain point that you can't progress past? Nobody testing the game mentioned anything that it just randomly shuts the *** off without even an error message? Or that wildlife would just randomly fly the *** away? And then there's this recent patch that breaks more ***. God forbid we uncap the game from 2 gigs of ram right? I can't help but feel like SE played a part in the creation of this game either... I mean why else would I break a pile of lockpicks on a master lock for 7 gold and a potato? Cerberus.Rayik said: » Phoenix.Wackatramp said: » What's everyone's derpest moment? Mine was with Giants as well. A girl asked me for a mammoth tusk so I saw them out there with mammoths, I thought maybe they were ranchers or something. As I approached they turned to me and didn't make any moves so I figured they were NPC types and went up to go talk to one and was promptly volunteered for Skyrim's space program. I can craft armor from the bones of dragons, melt down ancient dwarven ruin and make elaborate enchantments on weapons and armors.
Making an arrow or a thin piece of metal for a lockpick is impossible. ok so here is a summary of my skyrim adventure so far:
first file: 40 minutes in realize my name is PrisonerAnthony ( i forgot to delete prisoner from the name before i put in what i wanted lol ) so i started over. ~ on my way to white run i had 2 trolls chase me from the base of the mountain, into the city. They 1-> killed like 4 guards 2-> chased me an incredibly long way 3-> ended up 1 shoting me after an extended kite battle (guess what? i didnt save for about 30 minutes of gameplay lolol) ~ after about 5 deaths, i figured out how to beat the first dragon. might seem nooby but i am playing on the second hardest difficulty for a challenge i feel, and i have never played an elders scroll game before duh duh duh!!! anyway insane fun though. I am on ps3 with a non hd tv and it still is amazing. |
