Actually, a DRG would survive 1000 Needles because the pet would take half the damage. :P
Doesn't mean it's still okay not to have a -PDT set though. I have a couple pieces myself.

If you're ever fighting something on DRG where you're not just throwing bodies at something, it's very handy to have a PDT set. Never been only DD or one of two DDs on something?

Yah, Except he was talking about DRG, and the only DRG lance requiring Sabotenders is the Earth-Trial Path (PDT)

MOG SATCHEL... same thing as with as with the locker. its a wonderland of COR Gear both R/EX and AHable. Ammo, Cards, Food, Meds, Plus what ever triggers I may need for the event I'm running at the moment. it at about 73/80
PERSONAL INVENTORY has my RDM Gear. about 70/80 worth of gear swaps. *** like 6 pairs of gloves, 5 bodies, 4 heads, etc etc
ON TOP of ALL THIS... I have ***on Storage NPCs as well as On a Mule.
Ask me why I don't mule half this crap?
A) 3/4's is R/EX...so it's stuck on me
B) with sending ***8 items at a time... If i need to mule...say...Corsair ***...It would take an hour.

I prefer to way MDT+ and PDT+ sets it makes the game more fun.
Since when does PDT gear drop the DMG of 1000 needles? Thought only Stoneskin did, and additional party members.

To be fair, Any and every fight where you take Physical damage, you'd be better off with a PDT Set.
Maybe you're at no risk of dying, and maybe your mages have refresh Atmas (Assuming inside Abyssea) and don't care to cure bomb, but its a good safety net.
It's not about how often you use it, It's about being prepared for the situations where you will have to use it that matters.

Full Onyx Set, pretty sure thats DT+50%, Thats he game on hard mode, No haste, +DMG Taken. Its how the real players play.

So? You'd still be a burden in a part situation without a PDT set, so I assume all you do on DRG is solo.

PDT and MDT sets are great to have when you low man things, but if you don't, then you really don't need them.
If you do things with 18 people inside of abyssea for example, there's no necessary time for an MDT or PDT set. With the atmas available, 3 bots could keep an alliance alive on the HNMs.

a lot of ppl are like "thank god for my storage",but i was fine b/c i didnt carry a set for things that wouldn't be of use to me.

o and bart to answer your question on what i did on drg, i did nothing on it but idle ever since abyssea. hence why i didnt need a pdt or mdt set
With this new inventory increase I'm tempted to level Ninja. Which would probably accomplish more things solo; DNC main or NIN main?
I have RDM for most solo stuff, and BLU to kill off low HP things. But NIN looks nice for things that attack quick with low to moderate accuracy and are strong to magic attacks. AF3+2 feet for the extra shadow, and all that crazy amount of haste(and eventually get haste as /rdm) looks pretty good.
Thoughts to help me decide?
