What would be best to go for a WF set on VWNM's? Mainly for the T3 Jeuno/Zilart or TIV City. No Wizards roll since in VW we normally do Regain/Refresh rolls in DD PT.
Does Adding more AGI provide more Acc to it or does Macc help there?

learn to do more than 2 rolls?

and AGI all the way

Why wouldn't you be able to do at least 4 rolls? And wizard gives potency only anyway. I'd say AGI.

- I, also, am hesitant about trying to get another w. legs abjuration for a +2 MAB boost.

You don't have to farm up the Wyrmal Legs to augment CCuises. You can use any Wyrmal Abjuration to make Wyrmal tatters that will augment all of the wyrmal gear.

What he probably means is that he has NQ w.legs before sky augment came out, and doesn't want to farm another abj for HQ that only gives 2 more MAB. And it seems(although Im not sure) MAB+6 augment only comes from HQ.

By lv 99 there probably gonna be something better come out anyways.

I wonder if it's possible to have both HQ and NQ w.legs though(they have different name no?)

This. And it is very possible to have both. Made Blood Fng. Gnt. before throwing away my Crismon.

Edit: Also, yes. Only HQ can have +6.

cause keeping up 2 rolls at 11 if possible fulltime and not stopping at lolnumbers just to have more rolls? it sometimes takes some bust to get the 2nd roll up at 11, if i then start to do 2 more rolls then i never do anything but rolling and dont shot/WF anymore :P

when in pt with only melee dd's + whm then we do Miser + tact roll at 11, so wizard would never work that well and come close to the 65ish TP you get after 1 WF and when with a mix PT of rng/blm/whm its mostly Refresh/Regain

this is my wildfire set. Its the highest dmg wildfire set you can have pre 95 cap increase. Ive been away from the game a couple months so i dont kno any of the new armor yet. I tested the dmg output in every gear slot for the highest agility compared to the highest mab piece available. This is what i came up with. Also this ws being elemental never misses and RARELY gets resisted unless the mob is specifically strong to fire. Hope this helps

Pretty sure it is because magic critical hit does not do anything for wildfire.

I don't play COR so maybe my opinion won't matter, but don't put Mages in the same party as the COR and DD. The COR should have WAR, SAM, DRK, etc in their party and you should be rolling Tactian's and Miser's roll. Don't worry about the loss of MAB since Miser and Tactians will pretty much allow you to weaponskill constantly with no actually need to do anything.

yea we do that (like i wrote a few post over yours) and we often have 2 COR's, in each DD/trigger PT one so one cor is with the DD's, one is with the Mage/DD PT.

Magic crit certainly does affect wildfire. Ive never done testing as far as how often the crits happen but The dmg on the ws is extremely consistant especially in abyssea. When you're doing 5625 40 ws's in a row then randomly do a 6090 its magic crit on the ws.

and it's very possible that the reaver grip+1 will show higher dmg over time than the affects of the crit off the wise strap, but i was never able to get one. i suppose my previous statement about testing all slots was incorrect becuase i never got a chance to check out the reaver +1 compared to the wise strap, but I did test the rest of the slots

With your setup, assuming Wild Fire can crit, I'd take a guess that crits would happen about 6% of the time.

No it doesn't. You think the people who have tested the wildfire damage equation
Quote:
Damage = (( Lv+2+WSC ) * fTP + fINT ) * Resist * Elemental Staves * Weather * MDIF * Magic Damage Adjustment
to the letter would have just missed this?

Rose strap is best when it brings you to a new x-hit build, otherwise it's a waste.

X-hit build doesn't really matter for this job due to randomness of regain/misers/rollers ring, aiming for max TP return instead of AGI+2 after QD/WS doesn't sound too bad IMO.

I've tested that wise strap on nearly 300 WFs, and got absolutely jack squat from it. I have pushed the weapon skill to it's absolute limited, and magic crit ain't one of the things it can do. Why? *points at earring called Hecate's* I think the few thousand wildfires I've done is an appropriate sample size without the Wise Strap.

You, good sir, fail as a cor like so so many. I can't for the day I can invest time into my arma because many a gimp cor gonna cry at just how much I can outperform then.

Well until that day comes. you have no room to talk for even you fail as a cor. Lol bedlam please dont criticize other till you fix the mistakes in your own gear. Get an arma. quit being gimp and get a novio. They are easy to obtain now more then ever. And just fix the little tweeks here and there since there is better gear options then what your using. Obi great idea if your /sch and using firestorm, /sam not so good unless your in a place where its fire weather all the time. But as i say once again you good sir fail as a human being. Intead of a freindly discussion of what working best or not working best for people to improve as a whole.
You attack someone you dont know at all. So grow up fix yourself before attacking others,

He is right that Wise Strap will do nothing. As for not having Armageddon. Having Bedlam for WF is equally as good. The aftermath is meh with the horrible delay on gun. Although i do enjoy firing with Triple Shot up with my laser cannon.

So has anyone gotten the Bullet from Akvaan? Still wondering if it can be fired.

That's the problem with quick draw and wildfire. They are boosted by some magic attributes, and they're not affect at or as much by others. Then again, the great part about that quick draw is basically a in a damage class of its own as the ability can do things like shield penetration and negate dmg mitigation. It's a give and take relationship.

Anyone have the math on this vs. MAB/AGI/WS% Anwig?

Outside of Abyssea this could very well be better.

I'm currently using Blobnag Ring and a Demon's ring with augment MaB+2. Should I be using an AGI+7 Ring instead of Demon's Ring for WF? How about for QD?

Also, i'm curious what weapon you guys for Main. Vulcan's Staff is what i'm using. I'd like a Mekki Shekki, but *** of a NM won't drop. Lol.
