»Well personally im greatful for them making Emps simple to make, you get a solid weapon with a good aftermath and some good weaponskills. At 75 people who were making relics were either people with crafts @ 100 makin million dollar items or Tyrant linkshell leaders "MOSTLY" dont get me wrong im sure a few owners out there worked there *** off doing runs splitting currency or w/e, but honestly, how many of those can there be, cause ive never met them. And people who have crafts and bought a lot of currency thats cool not saying u put any less effort in or anything, but most people just dont have that kinda time to invest in a weapon. With that said i agree people that have obtained a relic (or some anyways) deserve more then SE has given them for those weapons.
I am very,
very grateful for Empyreans. As I've stated elsewhere, relics are ridiculously hard to obtain for your average player. Players
should have readily attainable weapons that don't take years to obtain at a casual pace.
I’m not asking that Empyreans be toned down or made any harder to obtain. Far from it, I really think they need to adjust a few of the pops. (Drop a KI or two from Chloris and Glavoid pops, for instance. Make Fistule’s pop condition not essentially require that you commit an action that’s technically against the rules (mob holding), and make VNMs for harp/shield not as absolutely maddening to get through due to competition.)
I want to make that
very clear. Empyreans are a great addition to the game and they’ve made it very worth playing…kind of more than relics ever did.
It’s just that I kind of am one of those people you mentioned you’ve never met. I was in a group that did split currency. And for various reasons it never worked out quite how we wanted it to (server merge, level cap increase, member turnover, and for a variety of other reasons -- if you've ever actually tried to do a split currency ls...it gets pretty rough trying to keep things fair
and get things done). Bottom line was ultimately I was the only one who did complete their weapon. And I actually feel really terrible about that.
And it’s super frustrating that as the only relic the shell managed to turn out, it comes out as largely inferior to a weapon that can be completed by 2-3 people in so short a time. I care about my samurai a lot and I care about the work that not only I did, but that everyone else from that shell did to boot.
