I even checked his profile on here and he clearly has way more time invested into ffxi then i do and i've been playing since PS2 release.

my biggest problem with what you have said is that break will not be game changing... really... really O.o. it may not be.. but i find that hard to believe. granted SE will prolly make most of the things that we really would like to use it on immune to it. lets think if they didnt tho. by the time all the lvl ups are done blm/sch could POSSIBLY use ES/manifestation/kilaform(assuming same day,etc.etc.) break on <t>. normal manifest. spells last 60 secs+ if im not mistaken and kilaform boost m.acc. if you COULD get this to land on mobs that zergs work on then you are looking at the new zerg method. stack this with PD from alexander and your looking at a cake walk zerg. obviously everything that goes along with break is, to put lightly, speculation. but like i said IF SE doesnt make HNM's immune to this it will be one of the most game breaking additions ever imo. we wont know till it comes out and is tested but isnt it fun to wish :). as to break and addle, SE will let us have fun wishing/hoping/speculating but they will prolly just make them both very epensive play toys on low lvl mobs. /sigh People keep mentioning Manifestation+Break. Do you REALLY think SE is gonna let us do that? most likely it'll be one of the spells that are unusable with Manifestation. Also, I think Charm is a lot more like Confuse than Amnesia is, though Charm for RDM is...
A little late to this party and I'm not trying to argue whether or not they're adding whatever spell to the game, I want to show you that it is a ridiculous thought that they couldn't add an ability because of how it would conflict with the code. For example, you may have a Basic Monster class with all the normal things that any mob in FFXI can perform. Among other types of enemies, NMs will be one child of that class, they are the same as the basic Monster class, except they have a new rule or two, such as /checking as impossible to gauge. Different subcategories may go on and such for different types of NMs and different types of monsters, however to change all of the children of a class, all you need to do is alter the parent. For example, you can have a boolean (true or false) variable that says AmnesiaImmune = True. Now all the children of this class (every NM who inherits it's traits from the NM parent class) will be immune to Amnesia (Assuming that is how the check is done in their code). If their code is even half competent, it's structured in a way to make changes incredibly easy. If it's the worst code ever, it'd just take an all nighter from one coder. A friend of mine in my LS came up with an interesting idea about Addle (which could tie in nicely with the new SCH spells). Quote: How about it attacks anyone, regardless of hate, at random (maybe other mobs in area too?). And, when addle wears, hate is reset. Would work if hate were already messed up and then would allow a party to restart on building hate. Just a thought. Also, could possible weaken attacks, anything that relies on Intelligence or Mind. With the 2 new SCH spells that were released focusing on Enmity gain/loss, it's possible they gave RDM something also to work alongside them. so rdm can hate reset a mob any point of a period of time with no control over what its attacking?
Sounds pretty much the opposite of what you want it to do. Sounds pretty fun for claiming tiamat though. Addle won't be amnesia, it'll be confuse. It will proc like paralyze, but instead, the mob will hit itself.

Depends, if hate had already hit the fan (say a mob used a hate reset move and wiped all your tanks hate), then making it randomly attack whoever and reset everyones hate at the end wouldn't be that bad. Would be able to work quite well with the SCH spells to control hate (after the initial beating everyone to death >_>;) I think it could work well if it had a short duration (20~30s maybe?) and people were ready for a RDM popping it off so they knew there was no hope of hate being normal XD RED did NOT getting amnesia! spell

addle: lowers an enemys magic accuracy and increases its spellcasting time. good against mage users that cant be silenced i suppose. besides that its crap im dissapointed tbh lol
