That is horrific! and very,very sad. I know most cows are bred for meat/dairy products but there is no excuse for treating the animals in that way or slaughtering them in an inhumane manner. That is why I always avoid halal meat. There is no way i could consume the meat of an animal that was hung up, had it's throat cut when still fully conscious and then allowed to slowly bleed to death.

They should see what happens to male chickens right out of the egg once they see they are not female. Better yet what happens to humans in poor countries and how these international corporations treat them. Pretty much makes this topic a joke in comparison. But then again, people priorities are generally crap to begin with, so this shouldn't be a surprise.
