In my opinion that sows the seeds of mistrust and hate.
What you're saying is to not give it my 100%, to keep reserved a little bit to help with the recoil of the near impossible.
I'm giving this relationship my 100%. I'm not holding back, and I'm not going to entertain the possibility that it will ever break up, because if I even acknowledge that it's possible, no matter how small, that is one step backwards in our relationship, and one step closer to the destruction of said relationship.
