question? no talk of haste2, if they do they are going to have to increase attack speed cap. sch IS getting haste next update, knock on wood. whats gonna be's RDM's uniqueness then? sch/whm already gets haste btw
I was talking about OLD STUFF, because that's what they mentioned. Yes I am completely aware that SCH/WHM gets Haste, and that it's already a very nice supplemental job. You people need to learn how to read christ.

my math wrong? If we're nitpicking and including gear in math, Ref2 is 7MP with AF3+2 legs. Castable on whole party, if anyone cares. Or... just bring BRD/WHM and boot both SCH and RDM.

Idk, this talk about conserving mp and refresh vs sublimation... is it really that important atm? Especially in VW... with the temp items you get. I just don't see conserving MP that important for any mage, even PLD.

Or... just bring BRD/WHM and boot both SCH and RDM. and unless you are prepping for a fight with full mp, you will NOT be using full sublimation gear, you sacrifice refresh from weapon, head, body and what not which makes it incredibly counter productive.

When they do the helix update, I don't see SCH keeping their Voidwatch spot sadly. They only have two unique procs at that point, one of which pretty much never lands. :x

SCH for Helix. Until SE gives them them to subjob...stupid. I don't know, they haven't resopnded if they are moving forward with the change or not yet. They just released WAR's changes are moving forward as planned yesterday.
I think the outcry of SCH's is going to prevent the change, SE is just putting it off to let people get more emotional then they give them what they want and they are happy again and so on.

I've seen "BLM job abilities" come up in message, then one BLM will Enmity Douce, no proc. Then a second BLM will do it and it will proc. Think it's just screwy sometimes.

DRK got Break as well :p and many times i've proc'd red more than blms in VW using elemental spells more than my dark spells (welcome to a nearly complete derailment)
I guess if SE is set on keeping whm the only one with Cure V, at the very least, the regen effects (according to level of regen cast with storm spells [on top of the merited stat bonus] could be just what sch needs to compete for a tactical advantage)

Oh i can attest to that... Libra is a fine 1 min recast, while on the other hand, Modus Veritus, which seems to refuse to land 99% of the time, has a 10min recast, so unless you get a cor in pt who does random deal, you can only use it 3x per fight at most, as opposed to, say, Enmity Dowse, which lands 100% of the time. (even if you're not processing and really need the enmity down)

If it's the former, I doubt they'll change it, gotta protect against dem Modus burns. land rate bugs me but their solution for that was changing the recast to 3 minutes, im talking about BOTH landing when its sch abilities for proc and it doesnt do anything to proc the weakness. THAT part is a bug.

Typical SCH in VW. This was me getting yelled at by 5 people over Modus Veritas and Libra processing.... Even Qilin i swear joined in on the fun

| I know there has been a lot of discussion regarding Regen and Cure V around the forums, so I wanted to pass along feedback that we received from the dev. team that Mocchi posted up earlier today.

I’d really like the above three things if you are going to work on scholar’s regen. Since they can use weather magic, it would be cool to change the effects of Regen based on the type of weather casted.
Aurorastorm + Regen: Enhances effect of Regen
Voidstorm + Regen: Increases effect duration of Regen
Firestorm + Regen: Regen + minor Regain
Rainstorm + Regen: Regen + minor Refresh
Sandstorm + Regen: Add half of the effect amount to your max HP
Windstorm + Regen: Regen + gradual reduction in attack delay
Hailstorm + Regen: Regen + gradual increase in magic critical hit rate
Thunderstorm + Regen: Regen + gradual increase in critical hit rate
I still feel like Cure V should be added too…
Is that reason that Cure V has not yet been added to scholar’s spell repertoire due to the fact that it making it an AoE would be too efficient? In regards to wanting to the ability to cast Regen on alliance members, there have been a lot of people commenting on this, so we will be looking into making this an effect limited to scholar. We are going to need some time to develop and test this out so please give us a bit of time.
Also, thanks a lot for your Regen effect suggestions. We will take them into consideration.
In regards to the topic on Cure V which has cropped up in various other threads, I would like to inform you of our current direction.
We are looking at two main points:
1. The HP recovery amount of Cure III and IV are too low, and it’s hard to keep up with healing
2. Making each job’s specialty stand out more
With the level cap being increase and HP/damage taken amounts increasing, we understand that HP recovery amounts are low; however, we feel that making it possible to have every job that can use cure able to handle things all on their own is a completely different story.
While it’s possible for other jobs to help out with curing and cast support magic, which in turn create conditions making it easier to cure and also reduce the amount of cure-related stress, the job we have designated to be the main healer is white mage. Due to this, we do not currently have any plans of allowing jobs other than white mage to use Cure V.
However, the solution isn’t to limit the functionality of those jobs that assist with curing. So one possibility we’re considering is increasing the influence of the healing skill and MND, as well as increasing the HP recovery amount more than it is currently.
We believe this would involve making adjustments to jobs that have healing skill to improve the amount of HP recovered, but due to the fact that we will also be implementing cure potency equipment, implementing this aspect is simply one issue under consideration.
With that said our goal is not to make it so a certain job’s advantages are given to other jobs so they are able to do the same thing, instead we would like to look into how we can keep each job’s specialties intact and create ways that they can support other jobs. |
