Can't be bothered reading 10 pages, but 99% of mobs and items in the game have some religious, mythological or real history behind them, so if you really wanted to, you could find the actual "correct" pronunciation somewhere.
But hey, when it all comes down to it, most people here are American and say completely normal things wrong... aluminium, buoy, you get the idea. <.< I still say Goober is the correct way of saying it ^^

Phoenix.Kojo said: ***-car.. Hoe-mom. Prishe = Prih-sha Promyvion = Pro-me-vee-on (IDK) THE GAME = Thuh-Gaem i know im a day late, but screw you. The thing that's funny is that people mispronounce most Japanese names because they're over-thinking it.
For instance, to think that "kote" sounds like "coat," you have to apply the crazy English rule of the silent, teleporting, vowel-altering final E. This isn't intuitive. It's one of the crazier linguistic rules out there. You're making it way too hard on yourselves. Just remember that every Japanese vowel always sounds exactly the same no matter where in the word it is or what it's doing. All you need is to remember: a = ah i = ee u = oo e = eh o = oh And now you can pronounce every Japanese term in the game. Damn well close enough, anyway. (Edit: And yeah, I've always read Jaerik as Jerrick, but Jayrick works too.) Jah-eh-reek?
Phoenix.Ingraham said: I wanted Ingram as a name but I had to settle with this :( Technically the name could go as "Ingrum" or "In-Graham" but hell, doesn't really matter, it's an ugly-awesome name. ..Now I'm craving ham. However, in my head I read it like 'Coat' one syllable. Dunno if my actual pronunciation is right, though. Phoenix.Kojo said: Sylph.Taruzard said: Jay-Rick-Astley <3 He's no stranger to love.
