Age 20 - First job at an Arby's. Abyssea! yeehaw!
Age 21 - Signed up for and later joined the United States Navy. Finished Ukonvasara to the level 90 version because my friends Draginhikari and Fyea made me. Said I was quitting FFXI, because there'd be no way I had to time to play while enlisted. (Lol, lmao even)
Age 21 pt2 - Got my second GF through FFXI. The artist formerly known as Soree. MEEBLE BURROWS WITH MY GF!!!!
Age 23 - Officially dumped forever. Logged out in Sky, said I was quitting again. Went off to play FFXIV.
Age 25 - Discharged from Navy. Transfer to Sylph to play with Shadowlina. Play an Einherjar from my hotel in Japan on my vacation there in early 2016.
Age 26 - First post Navy civilian employment at a tire recycling plant. Beat Rhapsodies of Vana'diel.
Age 28 - Third GF (and now wife). Became a mod on this site, I think? Might be remembering wrong. Keep eye on progress of XI, cancel my subscription for the first time, saying that once again I will quit but for real this time. Surely, cancelling the subscription makes it stick, no?
Age 34 - Got married. Pretty much finished my FFXI Let's Play. Upload episode #311 of my FFXI Let's Play. Finishing this LP is just like quitting...

Whenever I see BLM, instead of seeing, "Black Lives Matter" I just read Black Mage.
I've used phrases from auto translate in my regular speech for years, such as, {Thanks for the offer, but I'll have to pass.} and {What's the battle plan?}

Probably not the only one to do this, but I used to take intense notes. A to-do list, results from crafting, gear goals, a calendar for events. I played right beside a wall and would tape it all to the wall.

[94 days between previous and next post]So i was remembering two things i read irl and added them with FFXI as a subplot.
First thing is a meme i saw. It was a joke about protection, and one of the panels shown condons, with a whooping 98% pretection.
Sounds good? Well, in number yes, but if you regularly have sex on a daily basis, then we are talking about 6~7 “clean shots” per year. Looking at this perspective, maybe couples not planning to have children arent that protected using only condons.
Then the second thing is one friend of mine, that had triplets recently.
Then FFXI came in mind: “just imagine using blink as a protection, then suddenly one hit manages to bypass that barrier.
And for your luck (?), it procced a triple attack in that”.
Well just imagine if dude had a Kraken Club between his legs….

I took some time off from the game when i had to move, and some more to get things in order in the new place. Unbelievably, its been 10 years now. 10 years without playing, aside from cashing in log in points. Kinda depressing when I think about it. But despite the time… the dreams are still coming in.
I was in a small town. Maybe La Vaule? It didnt rly have any defenses that i saw. Next thing I knew, we were invaded by orcs. Immediately, the whole town was surrounded. Nowhere to go. Not even enough weapons to arm every one. So many ppl there are unarmed.
I was one of the unarmed looking onto an army of armed orcs that out numbered us, attacking us. I ended up as a prisoner. Or slave...
So after 10 years, i wouldn't say it's a 'sign of too much ffxi'. More as a great example of how powerful and long-lasting this game was.
