Able To View WG Shouts From Ffxiah

as itle suggests, like a box here that u can view the shouts, im rarely in wG but always wonder if im missing bcmns or mission offers just coz im not sitting around doing nothing

I was looking on windower's site a while back and noticed an application that utilises "ChatMon". What it did, was essentially put you "in the game" while you weren't logged in. You could see everything in your log and use it to talk to LS and such, unfortunately I can't find it now ><

I'm guessing something similar could be made for on the site, but would require someone to be stood in the middle of laggate all day.

I remember something like this being available some time ago, but I'd keep seeing all JP shouts while it was midday here in CA for some reason.

Personally though, if my character isn't logged in its because I can't play atm, and seeing shouts of what I can't participate in wouldn't be too much fun.

FFXI Remote Chat

Not sure how easy something like this would be to implement on-site, but I'm guessing this program works by taking Log messages, sending them to a text file on a server, and the application reading that text file constantly.

I doubt chat info can be sniffed without an account, so probably wouldn't work on this site.

While we do own an account on every server (so that we can say we ostensibly have a right to the AH data on all servers), we don't sit around in Whitegate with them 24/7, so we wouldn't want to start for the purposes of providing such a feature I'm afraid.

I do agree though -- it would be a pretty awesome feature to have, if not for the trouble with sheer logistics.
