I really doubt Relic WSs will be available without relics. I'm guessing that this is a misunderstanding and that these are modifications to the WS to make it more effective against certain mob types. However, if you CAN get Relic WSs without a relic, I'd like Knights of Round on my Martial Anelace as well as a couple DMG mods. TP bonus would put you at a 200% KoR regen when WSing at 100%. Or it'd be nice to see "TP Bonus" as a TotM mod for Relic weapons. BUT I'm not really an Excalibur fan. It's nice if you have it, but Hauteclaire and Burtgang seem better for PLD, and relic-wise, Mandau for RDM, but RDM doesn't get to melee enough to make use of a relic. Sadly, it's more of a solo piece.
I would think they are weaker without the relic weapon. It would make sense if you think about the WS space is limited. But I guess SE could just adjust that... Yet, why make a new WS when we can give the player ones that exist, in a weaker form, that are stronger than what they have? I.E. Guillotine. We shall see.
I think we'll just get new WSs leter on.

Im gonna go out on a limb here and say that the noct mail/helm will be from some uber godly nm like PW or sumthing. Also...as a side note...I was under the impression that the lvl cap increase was to take effect today also...but yet I see no gear for any jobs over 75. Perhaps I just misread stuff. And did they have to give us NINE town tele earrings? Why not just one and let us chose which town to tele to?

I'm pretty sure that Noct Mail, Helm, and that GS with Regain will probably be from a Campaign Ops mission where you have to fight the Shadow Lord. Requirement will probably be your Nation has to own Castle Zvahl Keep.

cool....we can buy the key items for the 3 expansion series incase we want something else. And YAY to this :

seeing that they added the Castle Zvahl Keep [S.] and the noct gear looks like it comes from Shadow Lord... i'll put my money on it dropping off An HNM past Shadow Lord look alike that spawns somwhere that looks like a throne room area.

My TV/PS2 has had the FFXI "Play" page on for hours now, me sitting here bored, everytime the Play page refreshes, I make the "OOOOO!!" sound like the JPs in the Vanafest vids.. It's become a really annoying habit.
