Aside from health, in which case 1% is better for you, its the taste really. To me, 2% is doable as opposed to 1% which tastes bland to me but that is only if you drink it as opposed to eating cereal with it or as an ingredient to a recipie.
Don't feel too bad about arguments such as this. Shoot, Foulei and I fought over microwaving food one time because he doesn't want cooked food reheated in a microwave yet he will eat precooked foods such as beefaroni from use of a microwave. I cook over the stove most of the time anyway.
