Last month I had a similar experience. I was walking through downtown Dallas to get to my Mom's work and to grab a bite to eat, when I walked straight through the middle of A-kon, it's nowhere near the size of something like Otakon, but ~ I had to do a double take cause I didn't realize what was going on at first.
All the オタクs where I live have no talent and can't make good costumes. Also, most of them are tertiary students so there are no actions in the bars or clubs. Actually, a lot of mothers drop them off at the event. >____>;

I'm Not addicted to playing ffxi anymore since I quit last month but I am still addicted to the game thats why I stay on this forum forever lol, I guess I just miss talking to ppl in the game not so much actually playing it.
