I got bored today while testing out some color mixing for my zombie facemask. So after failing the colors I deiced to make a face.

It ended up a lot creepier than I had thought it would...

If shaving just for this waking might work out better... get porcupine legs if you shave don't you? XD

Waxing always works better for everything, but waxing also costs like 30$ or more per leg, whereas a razor costs 1 razor (which can still be used again) and a 1$ can of shaving cream (which most guys already have these anyway).

THe point is to not be in pain. Waxing doesn't help lol

It would have to do with the sterio type that gays sleep around with a different partner every night and don't use protection since there is now risk of spawning life inside your partner, thus having a higher rate of stds. While it does happen (I've only known 1 >.>) I never would have that there would be a ban on blood donation from that. I kinda wonder how the regulated this tbh, a doctor asked me if I was gay I'd tell them it was none of there f---ing buisness XD

nope, in the US too. on the forms you fill out theres a question you fill out that asks you if you (a male) have ever had sex with another male ever, and if so, you are not allowed to donate blood.

We can thank crap like this for the blood shortages in America...

Are you sure gay men in the US cannot donate? I looked at the redcrss site and it didn't list that as one of the reasons you can't donate.

It could just flag your donation for an extra round of testing or something.

I'm pretty sure the "Ban" is just from the FDA, which means it's simply more of a guide line, and doesn't actually act as a law.

whenever i donated blood in highschool, the form that you filled out gave that as a reason to be disqualified

Well found this in a quick google search... Oh well now I have a reason to not feel guilt if someone ever tries to trip me for not donateing, funny thing is I'd been wanting to get set up to donate blood >.>

Well that sucks. I was going to donate blood every time I was able, but that seems to be ruled out.

I don't donate blood, not because of my sexual orientation but, because of personal belief. '-')v

When I was 7 my head was torn open. Blood transfusions saved me. I donated a couple times a year until I was 21. But the ban/law is either in the process of being removed or is removed. Happened in the last few months.

What personal belief?
I know some religion prevents some people, just wondering why you don't.

I'd prefer not to go into it but, it has something to deal with the way my mother was treated when she had cancer. ^^;


The Red Cross was over here and were practically harassing me to donate until I told them I was homosexual. They were kinda like, "Oh. . . Thanks and Gig 'Em? :D?"

I would also like to donate sperm and whatever else I can.

It's been a while since I heard anything but I know it went up for review by the redcross and was close to removal a month or 2 back, so even if it was removed probably wouldn't be implamented until the next year. Also that doesn't mean the people working those donation centers know, most of them are student volunteers and repeat volunteers don't always make sure there knowledge is up to date, ntm again it's aggieland they would rather not have any homo be in a kitchen, hospital, or anything whether they or clean or not because of the way most of them where brought up to perceive gays and aids. The first time I donated after being out I told the person they asked a few more questions about my sexual activity, which was low at the time, and they just said i'm going to pretend I didn't hear that, and let me donate. All the blood gets tested for everything anyway, I know straight people who donate blood as the way of getting "tested" which is much worse then gay men who get tested regularly. Hell even with proper education it's taking till this year to get the shitty institution known as the Red Cross, to review the policy and start to admit they have errors. Fun fact first positive person I knew was a straight man who got it from a girl.

Yeah it's HELP I AM TRAPPED IN 2006 PLEASE SEND A TIME MACHINE. I think the whole thing that's holding it back atm is that there's an up to 1 year window apparently where you can be infected with HIV and not have the antibodies show up in the test, so they're all afraid. Still doesn't change the fact that just as many straight people have lots of promiscuous sex and can contract it just as easily >< It's stupid. I don't donate blood anymore and feel no guilt about not doing it.

6 month window technically, but you can be negative positive, meaning you positive but you the virus so under control you test negative, this is rare however with meds and perfect health, let alone without meds. Also men in general are at higher risk then women are, women who engage in anal sex are just as likely, but vaginas have thicker vagina walls, then the anus does which lowers the risk for transfer TO women. As men though our veins are right their on the surface ntm how we release our fluids, so if the girls positive, it's in that mucus. girl + girl, super low chance of transmission without protection. With a man, slightly lower then that of homos if vaginal, just as likely if anal. Last I read a virus kept in check on a women will have super low levels in the vaginal mucus, so as long as she's not having problems "Getting wet" it's a lower chance then gay men. gay men, highest risk due to the anal walls being thinner.

In summary Gay men DO have a higher probability of being infected not the same chance. Also college station has a ridiculous amount of "straight" men who don't use protection, don't admit they have sex with guys, and don't get tested. In other city's like Houston, most straight men wont do it without protection, in college station they don't like protection. I know several "straight men" and even married men who have had unprotected sex with POS guys, who didn't tell them they where POS, and never go get tested. In other words all blood should be put on hold until the appropriate time has passed and can be tested properly not just one group of people who if they are being truthful about being gay are probably less likely to transfer anything then straight men in that town...
