Wanting Info On Rings Which Is Better?
Wanting info on Rings which is better?
okay so i have Raja's ring and Ulthalam's Ring but i seen this new rings around idk if anyone else has asked but are Lava's ring and Kusha's ring which give def+6 Acc+12 and att+ 6, would this be better to equip as a "THF" or just stay with rajas and ulthalam's?
Yeah... makes it difficult to choose. I'm actually using Rajas/Divisor. Divisor gives 6 acc and 3 attack when your level is divisible by 5. So basically like using only one of those rings, but you still get the 5 STR, DEX, Store TP and Subtle Blow from Rajas... So I have no idea... nooooooo idea which would be the best combo for which particular situation. Any help or math crunching would be greatly appreciated if anyone knows of any!
If you give me your average DoT/WS split, current gear, and target, i could do a little math, but I can almost guarantee rajas/divisor to win
i don't think lava kusha thing is much of an upgrade, if one at all.
Rajas helps in a great number of ways. Str is worth more to a meleeing thf than any other job in the game (lowest base damage). 5 stp will always reduce the number of hits to ws by 1 for thf (bd/sk sure does at least). Subtle blow is situationly nice as well.

Rajas is almost always the correct choice.

Is this assuming you have 8/8 Combat merits for said job?
Rajas is better for MNK than it is for thf. Store TP is COMPLETELY worthless for DW jobs, especially ones who are acc starved. If you don't even have 8/8 combat merits for said job, you damn well better NOT be meleeing in a rajas.

Shiyo, you forget that mnk is pretty much DW (two hits per round). Store TP isn't totally worthless, it's just less worthwhile than it is for 2hand jobs, but it still helps. Rajas isn't better for mnk than thf. The fstr alone for TP'ing will be more of an increase to thf than any other melee in TP phase. That being said, thf will most likely be using acc food to begin with unless it's something like nyzul (in which case acc will be capped either way).
Rajas/uthl, maybe not, but rajas/a real ring, then yes. Uthl in general is trash.

Oddly enough that is the way I have to have my earrings/rings equipped or it just doesn't feel right.

Yes, when your rings are in proper alignment, the stats are boosted tremendously.

3 acc 3 attack losing to Ulthalam's ring? You're forgetting something. STR doesn't only give attack. It also raises your FSTR, which is like raising the DMG rating of your weapon.
