We're seeing lots of discussions about a possible new large-scale expanison... I don't think the Community Team would put something in the newsletter for everyone to be let down on the 27th. This looks promising for a new expansion announcement.

OMG TIME MAGE, CALCULATOR, GREEN MAGE, MIME!

Unlikely, but new jobs would be cool.

Job Description

The calculator is a very unusual class but a very powerful one, despite their HP deficiency and atrocious speed. Calculators use different parameters to cast spells. For example, if you choose Exp. and 5 for a Cure calculation, Cure will be cast on any character, enemy or ally, that has experience that is a multiple of 5, like 5, 10, 15, etc. It is possible to hit multiple enemies with powerful spells that require no MP or charging. With the right calculation, a good spell library, and patience, the calculator's Math Skills become far and away the best ability set in the game.

Job Ability Description

For a calculator to be truly useful, one must learn every Action Ability they possess, plain and simple. As for their other abilities, Gained Exp UP is the only truly useful one, and it's a great one at that.

It's a lot of fun, and a bit challenging. It's great trying to figure out the story via the atrocious translation :P

SE: "We currently have plans to add several new jobs, magic spells, and avatars for summoners in the upcoming version update."

Day of update;
SE: "lolnvm."

Blue Mage update: We gave you 7 more spells to learn from mobs that can kick your ***. Are these spells useful? Absolutely not!

Large expansion, new jobs/tweaks!!! I WANT IT ALL!!!

If anything I would of loved to see Time Mage, or Chemist in FFXI.

Chemist! I knew I was forgetting one.

Edit: New weapon type: Whips. BST get A+ whip skill.
(FFV anyone? :P)

Next update will be : "The Job Samurai will get a new Job Ability that enable them to gain up to 1000%TP, Duration 5 minutes, Recast time 5 Minutes."

"The awesomeness won't stop there ! Red Mage is getting an update too ! Red Mages now will gain the Job Trait Magic Attack Bonus V which will give them +50 more MAB !"

Next update will have everything. Jobs, job tweaks, missions, maps, etc...it will be called FFXIV.

I'm gonna laugh if the announcement is the avatars.

Forgive my cynicism but over the last seven-some years there has often been a wide discrepancy between what the fans consider "exciting" and "new" and what SE considers the same. IMO the huge announcement will be something on the scale of: the end of WotG missions, access to an end game area (perhaps the Walk of Echoes), and/or a chance to fight an unfettered Atomos (or some other demigod). With such releases often come new armor sets and its attainment system and in turn lessen the value of previous end game armor.

I miss the days when updates were "OMG WHOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA" worthy. Lately they've been "Meh."
