Maat's Cap, Finally Done!

After countless of hours of partying with as well nice ppl as total retards for about 5 year now, I have finally earned my cap.

And No its not 100% smn burned, although I will admit that I have burned maybe 10-15 levels, on SMN onry. All the rest is done old school with the exception of level sync, I doubt its even possible to get in a party that isnt level sync these days.

Of the 15 jobs I've fought maat with DRK was by far the most annoying and hardest one, took me 5 tries @ lv 66, and I'm never gonna touch that job ever again!

Hard to say which one was the easiest, because there's alot of easy maat jobs out there. Probably SAM, WAR and BST was easiest for me, closely followed up by PLD and BRD.

The job I feared the most to even try was RDM after hearing all the horror stories about it, I had that job @ 75 for probably 9 months before I finally decided to try, and went 1/1 on it.

Now I'm looking forward to spend more time to finish crafts and missions and things like that that i have put aside to lv job after job.


I know most of you aren't the least bit intrested in this, so I ask you to not post and start a flame war just because you're not intrested in this. Others might have Maat's Cap stories of their own they wanna share, and they are more than welcome to do so here.

Actually I'm happy you posted, I've been slowly leveling jobs in hoping to one day reach the Maat's cap goal myself, and just like you I've so far struggled the most on DRK maat and am terrified of RDM Maat ....

I haven't done RDM Maat yet, and have even brought up to a friend that they log in as me and beat it for me :P

But alas, I'll probably cave in and give it a try.... I'm so scared!

I haven't done THF Maat yet, but I'm excited to try that one out because I have a relic weapon to use to my advantage :) Should be fun :D

Really people are way to afraid of rdm maat. With decent sleep set it's not too hard to sleep him. And that's as your first job no merits. If you doing it at 75 and/or with merits I'd imagine it's a breeze.

Also inb4 people starting telling you to get a life or something. Grats

RDM Maat was alot easir than I thought it would be.

I chainspell Blizzard III, and once he 2hr I slept him and converted, waited for his 2 hr to wear then let stoneskin and blink eat whatever he threw at me while spamming whatever I had til he died.

Yeah I didn't even think to use chainspell or meds lol. Just slow and easy

He resisted everything I tossed at him as RDM66. Bind, dispel, sleep, sleep2, gravity... And thats with my BLM already having Elemental 8/8 and Enfeebling 8/8

Chainspell AeroIII at RDM69 was cake though!

Someone that I did rank/CoP missions a while back told me she finally beat RDM Maat a couple weeks ago. She was 0/7 when she stopped doing missions with us.

Ok so 5 years for a hat Humm...... I guess now you can solo Odin or Kirin with this :0

Congrats!! I'm actually close to mine as well, only 7 levels in total left ^^. I only summoner burned from 63-66 on my SMN and of course you can't avoid level sync these days. Can't wait to get mine. Grats on yours again!

WTF my Cor is 70 and I tried to burn it since lv 1 with no luck at all had to xp the stupid ***. How are people burning these jobs to 75 so easy lol must be the server i'm on :0

A couple of people in my linkshell have taken 5+ jobs from 1-75 smn burning. Averages out to 3-4 days per job at a relaxed pace.

Then they show up at events expecting to use the job with no pants or jewelry and 80 skill...
