Desynthesis

Is they any other way to incease the success rate of desynth?
I currently have 60 smth (which is over cap of what im desything) with moghancment: desyth at 104~. Crafted on lightningsday faceing south west, half the time even during lightning weather itself. But my fail rate is still outragoues. I no desyth is a high rate, but even with all that i still failed about 40 outa 60 synths

Um try getting above the lvl. Hell even way above the cap you will still fail alot especially if you don't have desynth mogenhancement. Hence why stuff from desynthesis appears lucrative when it really isn't

What Dasva said, also try to get an overwhelming element power of the crystal you're using.

Desynth has a disgusting fail rate, and while I've had good days and bad days, I've never seen any sort of correlation between them. Some days I'll go HQ bananas, other days I'll break most of the desynths that I'm 60 levels above. My only real suggestion is to do 5 or 6 cheapies, if you go through a stack of crystals doing that and only get one HQ, stop, and try again some other time.

I have the moghancment desynth, and its at the overwhleming power. It cant gvet any higher. Also i am over the cap, but my smithing cant go higher then 60 cause my main is WW

I've gotten 2Meh Desynth is hard to get success. I used to try and do silver earrings. Since could buy from npc for like 1k and desynths into 1-2 silver ingots which were at the time 4k each. The recipe is like lvl 22 and I was 94 goldsmithing. I didn't have moghancement but I had a hell of alot of lvls on it. I think I barely beat breaking even

Of course desynthing is just inherently failure prone, but I have noticed that somethings are easier to desynth then others, even if both of the desynth levels are the exact same.. I don't do much desynthing anymore, because on my current character I'm a cook, which doesn't have any desynth as far as I know... But I used to be a WW, and certain desynths I could do all day with about as much failure as regular synthing, while others, even if they were below the easy ones, would just be fail after fail..

I used to just desynth one of the instruments (can't remember which, been a long time, it gave you parchment though) It worked, it seemed to have a very low fail rate, and the items you obtained from the instrument was actually quite expensive back then (30k+) while the crystals and the instruments to desynth to get a stack of that item cost a max of 7k total.

So in my experience and opinion is that if you keep trying and trying a certain recipe and you just seem to continually fail it, start looking fora new one.. as it's likely it's not just cuz desynthing has a inherent high fail rate, it's the particular item you're trying to desynth that has that fail rate. Try it out, you'll probably be as suprised as I was to see the pattern.

Some of those high success rate ones you are talking about aren't actually desynth. Yeah they use lightning crystals and even break things apart but they aren't actually desynth. Alchemy has quite a few like that. Bone has a few. Can't think of others off the top of my head

I know some are actually regular synthesis, such as maple sugar, but I am indeed refering to desynthing.. I believe the instrument I'm refering to in that post is a Traversiere, it's either that one or the piccolo.. I just can't remember all of the recipes because that was atleast 2 years ago

Anyways, it's just an observation I've made over many many attempts, it's not like I'm trying to state it as an absolute truth or anything.
