just read story on yahoo that According to Guinness It lists the world record for the longest time spent playing a massively-multiplayer online game: Sara Lhadi, who spent the equivalent of 700 days playing Runescape between November '04 and October '09. That works out to over 9 hours a day. Now that's commitment...or insanity. Or both. Probably both.
So i know thats not the most I already know peeps whos played more of ffxi including myself and of peeps who have over 1000 days played according to play time clock in game. So lets here it peeps how many days have u played total?

I had started in '04 sometime I think. I've clocked up 362 days, and there's not a whole lot of "AFK for hours bazaaring" time in there either.

230 days 17 hours this character, been playing 2 years by Feburary. Whole year of that was spent getting blm(first job) to 75 haha. Used to play like 8+ hours a day when at college >.>;
I started at PS2 launch, March 2004. Right now I have about 163 days play time.
Since November 2004 only 230 Days and a few hours, that's make around ~5500 hours. But If you consider 1 year is 8760:(5500/5) =>> ~8% of my time for playing on FFXI. Not very expensive time spending, regardless on higher playtime posted before ^.^,

I tried to play it when it first came out but my PC at that time sucked for the video card so I couldn't play it until I could, but I got the PS2 release also.

I'm not sure of my play time (as I am at work), but I started in September 2007. My play time does include a lot of time afk or semi-afk in cities waiting for events, besieged, NMs or just being busy in RL.
I will ninja-edit my play time in later.

I have the boxes for all my FFXI games I've purchased (up to 5-6 now) including the PS2 HDD box.
That Guinness record sucks ***, I know there are people on this game spent way more time then that. Rofl

Started Dec 2005. I have somewhere in the ball park of 830+ days. Lots of AFK time in there though.

Playtime 492 days while not alot of full afk alot of do something semi-afk during wait times (blm soloing, fishing, crafting.) 3 of my mules have some decent amount but don't really want to look into them. Got 2 lu shangs off of 2 mules lol.

I have like 1277 days of playtime since Dec of 04, most of that is afk though! I'd screenshot but SE billing is horrible and it won't let me reactivate my content IDs that got magically cancelled. :D
