Red Login Screen...wtf?

So, i was kicked off the game and got some error code w/e POL blablabla (you has no interweb!). speaking of that, does FFXI need some sort of special internet since my internet works all fine for everything else but for FFXI?

Once I got back online on POL this is what it looked like.

Oh that's just a bug in POL that sometimes happens when it fails to log into FFXI for some reason.
It's related to the caching of the background that is lost I think.
If you go back to the POL main menu and back to the FFXI menu it should work again.

Mine does that alot. Sometimes annoying.

If I had to guess I'd say PlayOnline's teasing you about using Windows Classic. Dx I use it sometimes, too, though!

I know the whole color thingy is just some weird bug.

The most annoying thing is when you get kicked out of the game coz "there's no internet connection", "check your network settings" "check your cables" and so on.

Why cant they just be honest about it?

"We're sorry, you got kicked out of the game because we suck"

If my internet is working perfect for everything but FFXI (including dl torrents, browsing these forums, using IM, and playing other online games) I highly doubt there's anything wrong with my ISP, network settings or cables. lol

I've seen that happen once or twice before. Nothing to really worry about.
