It's new and overhauled all right. Still just as terribly implemented. They aren't even trying to pretend they have QA anymore for this game.

a Vite-built Vue 3 SPA (using Vue's Custom Elements API) styled with Tailwind, served as static assets by nginx behind AWS cloudFront, pulling content fragments from legacy XML/SHTML endpoints on the same origin.

I think it looks fine, and low-hanging fruit is low-hanging fruit. The should open up claude-code opus 4.7 (1m) in their playonline source code directory and re-write it in something made in the last 10 years. I honestly think 1-2 devs and AI could do that in a month, including bug fixes and customizations. It would cost alot of tokens though. probably 100-200million.

They said it's borked until DNS changes properly take effect.

I personally don't like it, I am a big fan of the old site design and see this as vandalism.
