If you dont, I suggest you (as you so eloquently stated) should either shut up or walk into traffic.

it also has a cooldown, does it not? so using it for others is potentially taking away an opportunity for the shield owner to make gil themselves.

if you don't want to pay for him to craft for you, make your own shield. entitled shits smh

Examples of helping out:
Asking someone to make an Amaltheia leather for your relic shield because theres none on the AH
Asking someone to make Astralgoi for SMN AF quest because theres none on the AH
Asking someone to make one of the 105 materials for AF/relic upgrade because theres none on the AH
etc etc


Examples of exploitation:
Bringing someone a stack (or more) of materials to try to make an HQ2 of the brand new Limbus armor so you can save a REM's weapon worth of gil to have your own brand new shinies.

The enchantment lasts 30 minutes with a 60 minute cooldown.

I imagine, considering the cost and rarity of the craft materials of SU5 equipment, that most crafters will save up 1-2 stacks before they start a crafting session and even if the shield wouldn't increase crafting speed they'd be finished in less than 5 minutes.

Even if some individuals have enough resources to, in theory, pump out SU5 12hours/day I suspect there is not enough demand to make it feasible.

Their reasons for not wanting to make the stuff to sell themselves is known only to them. Maybe they dont want to AH camp for mats? Maybe they dont want to waste time estimating how the market will look? How many people here complained (rightfully so) that it'll take 8 months to finish a set?

There are 14 other known active Toreutic Escutcheons on Asura, why not ask them if they would do this service for free for people they dont know?

Accurate, but demanding 'X' for a tip based on whatever HQ you pull is what makes it lame. You want to play that way YOU buy the mats, take the risk AND the reward.

Now the other side. If your ls-mate does all these mats for you AND gives you the HQ2?
If you don't willingly tip over 30 M then you're the jerk.

Who was demanding X tip for HQ? Atleast not in my post. If someone else said that, that’s their business model. Mine is you keep what you get but X amount per try.
More HQs the better, brings more business.

You know I’ve always thought of it as Rent a Shield, Airbnb shield. Have always accepted payment per synth. But actually after reading some comments gave a good idea. Easier just to charge by the Activation of the shield, all u want 30mins for 10M. Thanks for the input. I’ll craft and try whatever for 30min you keep whatever results.

well theres 3 Igno. Cuisses on Asura, 2 more have sold for 300m and 200m. Each synth costs ~7 mil
550k orbs
1mil ingot
1.1 mil oil
~4.5m part4 (some sales at 5m, but most 4)

Lets say it takes a stack of each (orbs3 stacks you know what I mean) to get that HQ2, might be more, might be less, might not even happen, but just for the sake of these numbers, its a stack of each: 84 million gil investment.

You get your 200-300 mil HQ2 piece.

If you cant slip your ls mate a 15-20 mil, yes you're a jerk and I'd be concerned about how you treat people you dont know if thats how you treat your so-called friends.
