Hera I Am

Here I am playing FFXI, chasing the vibes from years ago. Well, now this game has turned into basically solo play for me. Years of grinding for better gear feels mostly pointless... I wish 60 cap Ballista was still popular. Current content like Limbus is just warming up the old stuff... The game needs something new. But what could it be? I'd suggest a new storyline. I mostly play this game for nostalgic reasons—doing the monthly Ambus and a few quests still... Gil is almost capped, no need to grind anymore. I wonder if a lot of players are having the same thoughts.

Most of us are here for the nostalgia and because they've invested too much time to let go.
We have quite a stretch of FFXI behind us where it got nothing. I'm not a fan of new limbus either. I think warmed up content is the best we can hope for I just hope they do it better. You can ask for more but I'm afraid you'll only get disappointed.

I never cared for FFXI PVP, I always had the impression that XI is too slow and sluggish in the back bone for PVP and class balance is a catastrophy.

I agree with the game dynamics in Ballista, but to me, it's part of the game, and everyone who's played Ballista knows it and learns to adapt over time. I've never understood why Ballista stirs up so many emotions—I've always found it a fun part of the game... but to each their own.
