I have to work today, so I must live vicariously through all of you. Please share your Dial Festival Key rewards!

Gonna just be a wildly random set of normal Anniversary Dial rewards, with the addition of high tier battlefield drops that weren't previously included in the Anniversary Dial (offical update about the seasonal event gives the examples of The Orb's Radiance and Divine Interference). According to BGwiki, the Anniversary Dial includes:

It's basically an SP Gobbie Key +1.

The more interesting part will come in 10 days once people get their 10th daily FES key and get the rainbow box that, as noted in this month's update notes, will "boost your chances of getting high-tier mission battlefield and high-tier avatar battlefield spoils." How much of a boost (maybe even guaranteed from the high tier pool with a rainbow box?), does the rainbow box prioritize items we'd consider "good" in the modern day (rare Crepuscular items, Null Masque, Malignance armor, etc), that kind of thing.

Event is only on from 16-Dec to 31-Dec, so there's only enough time for any character to get one rainbow box during the event.

Just to be 100% sure: It is one FES Key per day total, and not one FES Key per event per day, correct?

Do we think we need to save up 10 to see the bonus?
Or just trade 10 at our leisure?

The assumption is 10 over time is fine, but that's going to be an unknown for a while unless we can get more than one key a day.

how do you get the key ?

Do the starlight celebration events while already having the rewards (not in storage). Basically from what SE said, you can get them from all seasonal events now on whenever you do one while already having the rewards. One per day, though.
Essentially, it's a way to try to get people to do the seasonal stuff without adding new rewards.

I did the spot the difference game a few times and only got roast turkey despite it being on the list on the pol news post

Anyone got any recommendations for quick mini games?

I don't think this rewards a key despite the article suggestions unless I am doing something wrong

According to Wiki, this item is not obtainable from a normal Dial.

I did this on my main and a mule, got Enstone 2, (may have been 1, can confirm later) and an Ingot (not a fancy one), can also confirm later which specifically. But the more important point, is i tried the Bastok Mini game, got the Mitts, then mitts +1, tried hard mode once and got a key. On mule, tried the same thing, got all event items, tried the Windurst Mini game hard mode 3 times and got the key on the 3rd try.
Unsure if you can only get keys from the hard mode Mini games, or if normal can give them as well. Will mess around more with it tonight.

North Sandy #2 talk to the Elvaan geared in full Santa set at J-9. you’ll get a present. Go to North sandy HP#1 and run down the stairs to the 2 moogles. Buy a stack of Popstars from one of them. Go back up the stairs to the Mithra girl involved in the Sandy Moghouse exit quest. Trade the present to her. Then trade 1 Popstar to her. After each trade you’ll get a message that you spread cheer. Now go the Elvaan again and he’ll congratulate you. Now choose what city to warp to. Choose any city, right before you get warped by him you’ll get the key in your inventory. Each rl day, one key.

You can. Just do hard mode with the dream mittens, dream mittens +1, and the orchestion or the bastok piece of it out of storage.
It's a really fast way to get the key assuming you are decent at shell games.

Wait if I wear the mittens it's activates hard mode lol?

I got a Sacro Gorget from my first FES key.

I posted this in the other thread, takes less than 5 minutes.

For alts you should be able to start the Giftgiving event (with the Smilebringers) to get a key.

Steps:
Buy a Dream Hat from the in town Moogle vendor for 10,000 gil
Equip Dream Hat
Speak to Smilebringer. gives 'Present for the kiddies' (kiddie present)
Trade the kiddie present to a child NPC in the zone
-in game message "You've brought barrelfuls of joy to the children of Vana'diel!"
Teleport to another city via Smilebringer
#FES key is placed in inventory prior to zoning.

I didnt look at those campaign, but those rewards are quite underwhelming.

The existance of garbage tier item in the treasure pool is a massive red flag of how bad is the odds to get anything useful in general, and even less to get something useful to the actual player

Idk why I would farm this. The only r/ex it may drop that I am interested in is Null Masque, and I'm not interested enough in it to keep doing the BC...
