I'm cautiously optimistic about the rainbow chests actually having good stuff.

Yea looks like its limit/exp points, and no sparks, its platitudes.
Got the monthly silver voucher for the {Hello!} in unity chat on one character but not on other. Shows objective completed on both.

There's always been a chance you don't win when you win?
Before Rainbow/Gold chests were added, you could get 8/9 noises and get garbage.
After Rainbow/Gold chests were added, you could get a gold chest and get garbage.
There's never been a guarantee you're going to get anything good, including a loud thud, no matter how many chests you open. Some runs you will just get ***. Like always.
Yea..good point, you get either correct points and voucher, or 9327 Platitudes and nodda voucher...Im sure they see this by now...
Don't do any objectives till it's fixed.

Gonna quit playing until they fix this, seems like a rollback situation.
Seeing all of these removed is awesome.
The devs are basically telling us to switch to Venus Orbs now, as they upped the chances of getting Loud Thuds and decreased Noises while nerfing Mars. That's fine with me, because it means if you have a stock of vouchers you will get through them faster.
I'm interested to see what these extra "hints" are in the messages.

As I understand it, they're talking specifically about the chest that upgrades when you 'win' the game by successfully opening the 8th chest. This didn't exist until the adjustment that brought gold/rainbow chests.

It doesn't matter that you thought the reward was garbage, it matters that the chest upgraded and your reward came from a different loot pool. The point of this update was to remove the junk and make the event more rewarding, so a gold chest is now a LT and will actually feel like winning. The problem is that mars orbs will have a chance to not upgrade at all, which is not a win.

They'll fix it, but they will never roll anything back. Not ever.
I hate AMAN Trove with a passion as it's a glorified gambling machine designed to get players to cough up more money for alts.
In saying that, these changes are welcome. I am sick and tired of farming up vouchers to maybe see 1-3 Loud Thuds a month net me a shard, a cursed item, or nothing... because I already have whatever the drop was. This is a positive change to the worst "content" in the game.

Odd they didn't remove the amp from the loot list. That one is still a real kick in the teeth.
Just got Null loop on a mule's venus orb. got impossible to gauge loud thud of massive spoils! message. center chest was a thud.

Yes you get Platitudes not orbs now, and have no idea how they plan of fixing this since Vandabout (I hate spelling) rewards gonna be all jacked up.
