Was it ever confirmed/tested that there is crafting (with crystals) fatigue? Say after 3+ hours, your HQ results significantly decrease. I particularly notice this when sphere farming in Palborough Mines for multiple hours at a time but maybe is just anecdotal or unlucky.

Yup. This. I've spent 12+ hours farming spheres without leaving the zone and never seen any noticeable decrease in rates

FFXI crafting is a joke. Pays out just often enough to keep the dope flowing, but don't start to look for any reason beyond pure RNG, especially short term. there aren't any.
