I've always liked the idea of an external GPU ...but those external GPU docks (usually thunderbolt?) are kind of hard to find, at least from reputable companies. They also have weird open air designs that I don't trust either ...or unusual power supply support. Please prove me around, because I would keep 1 just to support my extra/older GPUs over the years.

Replacing everything one by one to see what works is the ancient method of diagnostic.

Crashing after a while tend to be either heat problems or GPU. Ram is unlikely but possible. Your error seems to say networking so probably motherboard. I have encountered exactly one problem like this since 1997. Busted capacitor.

I recommend getting another motherboard if you have one handy to see if it's actually the motherboard.

Have you tried furmark to push the GPU heat? That evil thing always used to stress test the GPU.
