I want more healer options and more Tank/Ranged options A combination of both of these jobs would be kind of fitting in a way. Monberaux is a Chemist, but he also has the JA "Cover", which makes him by definition a Paladin or sub PLD. He's literally a Chemist-Tank (though, I think his lore is simply that he's a Doctor, so he cares for his patients via medicine and protects them from harm mid-battle). He also doesn't move much mid-battle, always standing at "Range" xD. If he was given a gun, that would be your Gun Mage I think that would be a fascinating idea to explore: A hybrid tank~healer job. It's kind of what they envisioned DNC would be, except it's got a lot going on (melee dps, healer, and tanking capabilities) and most people just use it as a spike DD and rarely the other two. They gave PLD Majesty recently, though, and current meta already uses PLD as a main healer and tank-in-one. Chemist would be my pick for a new job. All of the "bones" of the job are coded in Monberaux, they'd just need to figure out the weaponry aspect. Getting a double wild card luck, the silence on the discord on the last skillchain. Adreline took hours to wear off. Regarding bidder/auctionhelper - someone, I think it was Thorny, mentioned SE does monitor multiple bids done within 1sec, which is not possible in game.
Auctionhelper will not let you bid too quickly if you have the AH window open while you're using it. Asura.Dexprozius said: » Gunbreaker Isn't that just Ranger? I wasn't leaving it running, my version autostops when a bid fails, so I just cleared out AH. I assumed it was for botting at the time, so I logged back in and did nothing besides buy alex the same way the following few days before it got permaed. I didn't even leave Nashmau. So, I can decisively say that at one point in time it was clearly banworthy. Not a whole lot of things where you can tie a ban to one specific activity, so I've been ultra cautious about sticking to the legit cooldown since then. Something funny I also realized is it's possible to do this with no risk of 5/6 of the accounts of being banned, as technically only the Paladin needs to use Tako. So hypothetically speaking, someone could run a setup with 5/6 "mains" and 1 burner account (being the PLD) and be able to get potentially 130k-140k/run without any of the main accounts being banned, since they aren't using Tako at all, assuming that's the trigger that causes people to get banned here. That being said, it still requires using packet injection on the Bitzers, but it is yet to be seen whether SE flags/bans for that specifically. It's also difficult to pinpoint since it's likely anyone who injects Bitzers is also using Tako to some degree. I think if you have a track record of being in a group with person hacking the game in front of your eyes in like 50 sortie runs, then you would be banned for clearly continuously accepting the fact that you benefit from hacks done by someone else, but I might be wrong. Were you banned "for using bidder"?
Or were you banned for making repeated bids on the auction house at a rate the client would not permit to be done? Or were you banned for making repeated bids on the auction house at a rate the client would not permit to be done while nowhere near the auction house? //buy alexandrite 1 450,000 sends the exact same packet as if I were at the auction house and made that same bid through the GUI, does it not? Problem with Sortie is that it's a continuous activity, so if you normalize using that you're almost certainly going to have been using it prior to the fix. It's already pretty well known, won't be long until someone reports it. Shiva.Thorny said: » This one, which I thought I made clear. I didn't even say 'bidder', my own tool always runs to the AH and pokes it before sending the packets. I was gonna edit my post saying you specified doing exactly that, but Toralin was saying "they banned just for using bidder". I interpreted it as lazy typing, not implying bidder on its own was unsafe. Fully on the same page as you as far as it being safe when used in the same way you'd use AH. I still think it's something to be aware of though, since a fresh user could easily link it with a command repeater or keystroke->up->enter and end up bidding too fast. (If they're using a version without safeguards.)

Was it you? Why POS hack in Dyna? Multiple customers. People relied on having their puller POS when Dyna-D was newish and the mid groups couldn't clear wave 3 without it. Lot of people seem to think that being in an instance makes it automatically safe to use whatever they want. POS to pull all the mobs to one place to aoe them or pull the nms or the boss only? Glad they got banned for that ***.
I'm more surprised SE detected running through walls in Nyzul, glad I never did that, as appealing as it is. deleted because I can't computer.

Asura.Toralin said: » You do know I helped get you your bumba 25 win right? Or are you trolling me My posts are always for entertainment purposes only (so please don't take it personally). But if what you're saying is true, then which character is yours? ![]() Respectfully, it's not really "helping" if you needed the win on one of your characters either. However, I do understand where you're coming from. If you remove all of the frustrating randomness, then the Odyssey v25 T3/T4 fights are a rare opportunity for a demanding display of player coordination and synergy in a restricted group setting. (But everything, literally every bit of preparation is required: player response time, in-depth knowledge of mechanics, optimal gear sets, and even the extent of LUA-optimizations for min-maxing potential). Still...I personally wouldn't romanticize Odyssey because I hated the climb and the abysmal lack of replay value. (Stating the obvious here: I was fortunate enough to have an Odyssey static so I didn't rely on your services). I also strongly dislike how the content forced many casual players to farm segments with a random PUG (and then spend those segments with yet another PUG). Odyssey has some cool mechanical moments, but I could do without all of the randomness and frustration. Another core reason why I dislike Odyssey (Bumba v25): I don't think we ever figured out how SE intended us to kill it? (Always do less than 10k damage, proc an element weakness by looking at the dust circle beneath him ...and then what?) Anyway, it's cool that you like Odyssey. This is 1 fight - The rest were fun - While I hated v25 bumba, I was on discord making jokes with the homies, having fun. I like fighting bosses, but Bumba is just silly. I think talking badly about one fight hurts the overall viewpoint of the event, but if there were skill issues fighting other mobs, I can see why you disliked it. (Always do less than 10k damage, proc an element weakness by looking at the dust circle beneath him ...and then what?) This is why it's crucial for everyone to remove as much magic damage as possible from their activities, like the RDM's Impact can't be doing 2k damage it needs to be doing a few hundred at most. I see only three possibilities for how SE intended us to approach the fight: 1. DoT, the way we're doing it more or less. 2. By proccing him consistently (which is damn near impossible to do a few times in a row, let alone for an entire fight) 3. They didn't want us to beat him. This was to be the new AV. |
