I knew a guy that would buy the brady guide with new games (like FFX, etc.) then follow it step by step never having played it before than talk about how he got 100% completion. Never once enjoyed the game free from following the guide, felt accomplished even though all he did was follow the guide.

I mean, completely completing the OG Brady guide, is definitely an accomplishment, not the entire game, but that alone would be a lot of work.

It's super chill but also very fun. Went in with six and an extra person in the 2nd party (RDM) and we found that when we go up, just run from start to the elevator and aggro a ton of stuff, then murder it, was actually entertaining. We weren't trying to hype optimize the climb either, just enjoyed spending an hour in Apollyon laughing. Especially that time our DRK got charmed from fighting a corse and killed two of our party members.

The best thing is that the consequence for failure / death is minimal. No lockouts, no waisted daily FOMO KI, no punishing timers, just get up, laugh and continue.

I like that is free to enter anytime, and that it's alliance content as well. If everything everyone is saying is true, later updates will hopefully see the return of alliance content also! The game needs some more casual alliance content.

Edit: SE struggles with alliance-solo content. And they shouldn't have to, if you enter solo, there should be a reasonable path to upgrade, if you enter alliance that path should be accelerated for all participants.

Meh, it's evolved, that's a whole other side track, but does it really matter in the end? I have grown to accept the inevitable, I've even dabbled in my 6-box life also, I think now that in the end, an individual's accomplishments should be their own, and it doesn't matter if someone else can achieve them faster using 3Ps. But is always an accomplishment and worthy of praise to set goals and get them accomplished, no matter what.

Your the first person i've heard say they enjoy it lol. While i agree no worries about using a daily KI to the max is awesome, as is the ability to do with as many or few people as you want. That being said the content its self is *** miserable... mindlessly kill mobs over and over. No strategy, just kill.

not in temenos.. things WILL link there. which can cause problems if you do not have a tank/sleeper. so you need at least some strategy.
the BLMs can also cause issues if they are not silenced & you are not at one of the elevators (because they can just aggro anything that respawns...)
can't speak for apollyon though. have yet to be there. although it sounds like the corse's can charm, so theres that.

Anyone getting an abnormal amount of "connection lost" with a black screen? And sometimes it lets you log back in.

I've had no issue since version update.

Apollyon is sleepga, sleepga, sleepga, charm, full dispel and mostly full dispel.

Like you need to be careful the mobs you are messing with. Tonight we were screwing around again and it's the first time I had to actually put Shockwave on a macro button because of how often I was using it. Pull 4~7 mobs -> to a safe spot -> Shockwave -> kill one to three at a time.

Ohh and the old school MPK thing is real. People can train mobs to the teleporter, go up, and those mobs will then aggro anyone fighting in the previously safe space nearby. One time we had someone die due to excessive aggro, no big deal but then someone else trained a horde of mobs through us and teleported up, resulting in us wiping. Thankfully there is on real consequence, so we just laughed it off, got up, rebuffed and resumed after the murder horde has passed.

Community sites and reddit subs should be where players come to ask questions and get this information, a wiki page instantly posting everything day 1 just dumbs everything down and destroys the community aspect of the game.

What is better, a wiki page everyone goes to day 1 or a community forum post with 20k views? where everyone works together and contributes?

Also I'm sorry but dat mining is cancer when it's at the level we have it at now (especially on a game that is getting smaller updates), the community finding this stuff out is far superior way to do it for the game and community.

My main point was that day 1 or 2 wiki stuff is bad, if there is no wait time for the community to work together. The wiki pages should come later, days later when the community has had their fun figuring the stuff out. The fixation with detailing everything as fast as possible ruins the community and mystery of anything. Nobody is going to die cause they don't have a full guide, with full data mined pics on day 1.

In the short term (few days) is better than a day 1 wiki page telling you everything and posting everything.

The wiki stuff should come later, and even day 1 dat mining is bad and the entire thread being as negative as it was proves that.

Yeah, I think Rady opinions are trash, intolerants, aggressive, zoomers, his arguments are just a extremelly huge pile of sophisms and he uses a grumpy cat profile pic icing the rotten cake but…

In this particular issue, I feel more toxic is the people reporting it.

This is the thing of it.

If anyone disagrees with what someone posts then argue with that person (or just ignore it and let others do it if they want), don't just hit report like a manbaby. There is only 1-2 admins, and you're just annoying them with nonsense.

Report is there for actual serious stuff like someone posting porn or something that they have to deal with, not someone posting something you disagree with.

I don't disagree about people reporting your posts Radial, but come the *** on. You waited 15 years to complain about a wiki and singled out Funkworkz for some reason. You also did it here, on a site that also uses data mining to populate the item database and uses tools to get AH sales history.

All of this discontent when the game already displayed the stats of every upgraded piece of armor from the very beginning.

As for the event itself, there are a few nuances, but the entire thing is boiled down to kill trash, get points. Not much to discover, yet.


Why doesn't wiki qualify as a community site in your mind? Literally exists because players ask questions and share information. Maybe you have a grudge against BG, I have no idea.

Anyone else notice odd things happening after the emergency Maintenance? I'm not getting a single skillup now no matter the job & I also became action locked when using the homepoint crystal in port jeuno by the mog house. Was hoping to finish off blue magic. Sad Panda.
