Agreed with this but even just doing +1 to the special stat and + 5/10 to everything else (DEF/acc/att/STR/DEX..) would probably make a few pieces relevant again. I could see where they do the above and add something like PDL or -DT to 1 or 2 pieces to each set as well. (if 3/5 empy have -DT i could see them adding it to 1 relic and 1 AF piece for each job - which could then hit -DT 50% standing a mix or AF/relic/empy) I'm not holding my breath. Although if the +4 is good (for AF at least) it would justify the gil sink for the +3. "I prefer to keep things low-key and not get my hopes up too much about the +4 items. I'm expecting a similar trajectory from +2 to +3, hp/mp +10, stats and things like mab +5, acc, magic acc, evasion, attack, defense, magic damage +10, mdef bonus +1, pet stats will all gain a similar increase. haste values will likely remain the same, or maybe +1, things like ja durations (berserk) will continue on the same path, so the body +4 will likely bring it to 20 from 18. I'm expecting things like WSD do get a minor upgrade so from 10 to 12, but with the addition of pdl. I'm also expecting to see DT or variations of mdt, breath damage taken, and pdt across many pieces. looking just at the warrior set, I'm expecting a minor upgrade to multi attack, or maybe 1-2 and the same for store tp of 1-2 points. I'm expecting things like skills, weapon/magic of +2
I would like to see some stat evening though, the blm set for example having little to no mab across the set. I don't think they intend to make the AF set the end all be all set, so if i had to wager a guess, you will continue to use the pieces you're already using, with the addition of maybe 2-3 more in niche sets. Didn't they already say there's no cooldown for entry which is why everyone figures it'll be full of bots there farming whatever new points system they come up with, 24/7? No cooldown to enter doesn't necessarily mean there's not gonna be a form of gating as in to how much currency you can accrue within a single day, with a jp midnight reset.
I'm not saying there will be such a system in place, just that we can't rule out the chance simply because they claimed there will be no cooldown on entry. Atrophy boots +4

I mean it's SE so willing to be let down but they just flat out have to add new stats beyond normal stat bump to like 90% of these pieces or it's going to be extremely meh.
Granted there is a possibility of the gear not stopping at +4 since they fully intend to add more content to limbus, in which case the +4 may in fact be mostly mediocre, who knows. Bit hyped for the data mining in a few days. Also I doubt the currency isn't going to be daily capped in some way, something is going to be gated, they aren't going to let you just hard grind it all right from the start. Perhaps the upgrade mats/currency is gated but you can use the zone for exp beyond that, though how is exp going to work if you can tag other peoples mobs for credit like they claimed?. I think the crucible is just for show; it should just operate like an NPC, but it would be kind of a cool minigame if they made the reforge process input-oriented. I believe they put it in the actual zone and not somewhere like Kazham or Selbina for a specific reason. Interesting nonetheless My prediction: Weren't the mats in chests for floor up in old limbus? Haven't done it for about 15 years so idr.

Assuming there is a limit to how much stat vomit they can put on a piece, i doubt they'd wanna waste space on "Limbus: junk", especially pet jobs who are gonna get a whole other page of vomit even if its just acc/macc/racc+50 But then they would be doing something crazy like giving pets an atk stat, or stp, da, etc. Utter madness
As far as +4 acquisition process, placing my bet that here's what new Limbus is:
1) Earn currency (points) by fighting anything in there, as in Sortie: - Apollyon gets Apollimaurfy, Temenos gets Temenaufry if we're unlucky. - One shared Limbus currency if we are lucky. - Gallimaufry if we're very very lucky (we already got a free bonanza weapon, now you're just pushing your luck) 2) New Ancient Beastcoin equivalent. Drops from mobs in the Limbus zones, or from NMs, chests, etc. 3) +4 upgrade requires a not insubstantial quantity of said currency plus some other stuff. Maybe for AF that means appropriate drops similar to the AF+1 JSE upgrade materials from original Limbus. Maybe for Relic there are "-1" armor pieces like the old Relic-1 armors. Some quantity of the new ABCs, or maybe items purchased with them. 4) Future phases add NMs, for additional valuable drops such as equivalents to Homam/Nashira and the 99 version armor sets. Perhaps they also drop items related to +5 upgrades. 5) They hold back some of the areas in the initial launch, to release later in further phases of the development of the event. Similar to Sortie's phased approach of relasing A-D first then basement, Dyna-Divergence wave 3, Sheol A->B->C->D). 6) The pre-update note says they "plan to keep updating Limbus so that it provides even more robust battle content and a place for many new adventures to come". Future content could be new floors, NMs systems implemented in later phases. Future rewards could include items related to AF/Relic +5, unique armor sets, new JSE accesories (since they love those in modern events so much), currency for reforged Oboro level 119 JSE weapons, etc. 7) There's a timer or KI on entry system. Maybe relaxed over time, or can build up time you can remain inside (like Abyssea) and get time extensions somehow. 8) Mobs give good, apex level exemplar points to encourage more casual and solo players to engage with both the Limbus content and the ML system (that many people who aren't botting kind of ignore intentionally going out and doing, currently). You're the 3rd person I've seen speculating on Limbus calling out a timer when they have explicitly said that there is no timer. Theres no external timer

Which means there will be daily caps. Exactly that.
Unlimited time, but not unlimited gains. They don't want you to get all 220 pieces in one day. You have to play for 5 years for that. Cause there ain't gonna be ***else to do for that 5 years. Except your daily sortie for your 7th prime. |
