Artifact/Relic +4 Armor Speculation Thread
I look forward to everyone getting banned for being in neo-neo-limbus 48 hours straight
I want to see SE's take on Beastmaster +4 armor more than anything.
To Charm or not to Charm, that is the question... Carbuncle.Nynja said: » neo-neo-limbus Redundant. The rebranding should be Leo-Nimbus Asura.Eiryl said: » It will be a problem from minute zero. They could consolidate all the charm+ onto one piece like they did THF and Steal+ stat. Or not increase the value like the DW on NIN Empyrean Head +3. Or (not expecting this at all) make it "Augments" Charm so that Charm can now work on an expanded list of previously Uncharmable monsters. Or just completely scrap it altogether

I'm curious what color the +4 box outline will be??

The actual solution would be to bring back MPK trains so the community can take matters into its own hands, while also making ML values halfway reasonable to do legitimately. Asura.Cossack said: » I'm curious what color the +4 box outline will be?? Last few days to make your guess. I feel like red was 4, but it could easily be purple. The only one I'm sure it won't be is green. Asura.Disclai said: » bring back MPK trains so the community can take matters into its own hands Temenos/Apollyon Bounty Hunters. Or just completely scrap it altogether THF treatment is about as far as id expect it to go, and they already did that for the BST AF, so idk why they wouldnt do the same for relic to free up space, aside from the fact relic charm is bloated as can be so consolidating it into 1 piece would be charm+66 which looks a bit silly, still toss it all on the gloves and be done with it. Kinda hope they do the same with DW, for whatever reason we cant just remove these old "themes" jobs had, so just shovel em into a piece that is generally just a swap piece already Tarage said: » I would kill for more gear that catered to buffing, like stuff that gives + stats to Avatars. At least then it would be useful for a single Siren buff. Hell, invent "Blood Pact Ward Duration Length +" and suddenly you have an entirely new set you can build. There are easy things you could add to the job to improve it, but that would break with what the gear was originally established to do. Especially with AF2 who's sole purpose was to make BP delay suck less. SMN has a ton of issues that need addressing. The whole job just needs a revamp tbh. I'd like to see something like "Summoner's Favor" that puts an aura on the summoner based on the avatar summoned (Stays the same favor even after swapping avatars) and then you could have the original Avatar's Favor for a 2nd aura buff from your avatar. Something like indi/geo spells, but you could maintain the Summoner's favor without constantly resetting it when you have to swap avatars for wards or whatever. Bloodpacts do not count towards objectives (awful design choice btw) so you could change the AF hands to allow the summoner to cast up to tier 4 spells that match the current avatar summoned. Reword the effect to "Able to cast spells and occasionally converts damage taken of avatar's element to MP". Nothing too crazy, but it would allow SMNs to complete magic objectives and give them some extra damage. You could either make macc based on summoning skill instead of elemental or just give /sch a new home. Finally, I would put something like Ward+10 on the AF horn to boost the potency of wards because half of them are still at 75 cap potency... GEO, BRD, and COR all received potency gear in the past. I'd probably be too much to ask for thunderspark, flaming crush, and enspell equivalents for all of the elements wouldn't it? I'm sure we will get -dt slapped on a few items and call it a day though. Or (not expecting this at all) make it "Augments" Charm so that Charm can now work on an expanded list of previously Uncharmable monsters. Or just completely scrap it altogether What they could do for Limbus (not going to happen) is to add charmable mobs that have a unique and single Sic ability that somehow helps obtaining more points. Or just add charmable mobs but make them stronger than jug pets...but then again, they should have only a single sic ability. At that point I'd be happy with more charm on af4 pieces. SMN needs an identity, IDK what to even classify it as in 2025. It doesn't DD by modern standards, not even close and that's before the BP walls everywhere in modern content. It's buffs/debuffs aren't as potent as BRD GEO or COR. What it can do is doubly limited by pet swaps and the BP timer. So it doesn't have a slot to fill and if slots are limited it literally isn't up to the task.
SMN and its crappiness aside I'm guessing we're getting incremental increases in stats with some PDL sprinkled around. I'm really hoping for some exciting new Brutal/Loq. earrings with beefy augments to chase with new extra-ancient beastcoins. I always thought that with trust AI revealed that they might have eventually made avatars more intelligent and autonomous when you aren't using pacts. Thats kind of how I imagined SMN in the beginnings when I knew squat about the game. When I was reading about how the light spirit had a very basic AI to use cures.
if you leave it out for 23 years it'll cast haste on you, too.
SMN occupies several niches, they're just not very necessary in the meta.
1.) Hateless, safe damage that doesn't feed TP to the mob. Physical, magical, and can do it all from range (for the SMN anyway) 2.) Plenty of useful buffs, some of which are unique to SMN. They don't stack up, but they come "Free" with putting SMN in the pt so it's a nice bonus 3.) One of 3 jobs that can TP drain 4.) One of very few jobs that can realistically remove hate from someone. DRG can do it with Spirit Surge, THF can take but doesn't dissipate (and has a much longer CD), Cover is trash. 5.) One of very few jobs (WHM, SCH) that can actually remove debuffs from people, so it can be considered a main healer, under the right conditions. 6.) Unique buffs (Avatar's Favor) that stack with all other buffs of that type. 7.) Perfect Defense is in a league of its own, in terms of defensive buffs. 8.) Conduit can do some whacky ***. 9.) Altana's Favor is also super helpful and totally unique. Unfortunately, all this stuff doesn't usually qualify for a slot, but it's not as though it's lacking an identity, it's just lacking...balance? Potency? It's got lots of things that make it unique and exceptional and lots of reasons you could want to bring it. Those things just aren't required all that often, so faster/more efficient things are taken. It happens to a lot of jobs. This is the cost of having unique jobs; you can't fit every unique trait in every piece of content, so many of them are gonna be left out. We're gonna get the same charmable mobs that operate off of archaic battle mechanics (Sic is terrible) Asura.Cossack said: » I'm curious what color the +4 box outline will be?? ![]() ![]() Red would be my guess to complete the primary colors. I'd like to see purple or green but I think those are too close to blue and yellow for them to use. Black outline would be nice also.
Limbus will have some sort of Daily cap. They need to curb botting and people running through the content too fast.
Tuesday's dat mining will be a lot of fun. I feel like random augments are returning. An open area with no time limit + a synergy furnace screams Oseem 2.0 to me. Random augments also acts as a limiter. It doesn't matter how much you do the content if RNG won't allow you to progress.
You cant store random augments though. Not being able to store unused AF and relic is going to piss a lot of people off, including the JP.
