No CS at blueblade (tried summoning prishe trust too, jic). Nothing to interact with. Pretty sure you need the teardrop first.

Did you hear the news? FINAL FANTASY XI's coming up on its 23rd anniversary. It feels like just yesterday that we were going on our first adventure together. I guess it's like they always say: time flies when you're having fun.
Those days we spent together were a blast. It was never a dull moment out there by your side. So thanks for that!
Oh, that reminds me... You'll never believe the dream I had last night. In it, the two of us were going on an adventure all across Vana'diel!
We rode chocobos from Lower Jeuno and then headed out to the Boyahda Tree. After that, I nearly jumped out of my boots when we came across a giant wyvern!
Then we were exploring a great hall featuring a statue of Lady Altana herself, followed by some ancient ruins... And before I knew it, we were somehow soaring through the sky! It felt like we were birds or something.
Our next stop was the Shadow Lord's castle. Fortunately, that big pushover was no match for the two of us together! Lastly, we took in the sights as we looked out over Tavnazia from Blueblade Fell. The whole day was like some epic adventure! Isn't that the best dream ever!?
But wait, there's more! I was thinking it'd be nice if you could go out on an exciting adventure like the one we had in my dream.
To that end, I got you an awesome pair of boots! I personally vouch for these babies. They're the best you'll ever own. If you rock them on your next outing, you'll be the envy of adventurers everywhere! I'll leave them with the moogle, so be sure to stop by and pick them up when you get a chance.
I wonder... Do you think my dream will come true eventually? I mean my dream of us setting out on an adventure together someday. I'm sure it'd be a great experience for both of us. So I hope you'll help me make it a reality.
On that note, get out there and continue enjoying your time in Vana'diel!

It could be that the special event starts Friday with the actual anniversary, as they started the repeat Mandy event today.
But if theres a scheduled start time, then it stands to reason theres a scheduled end time and getting the +1 boots is a limited time event.
Deeds HTMB is Shadowlord and Prishe visted the castle. Coincidence!? I think not.
(Yes funny, but you indeed probably can't get them yet, just because they're in the game doesn't mean they're actually there et etc)

Could be, or maybe not necessarily doing it all while wearing the boots, but maybe after acquiring the boots or lockstyling them (maybe for cutscene effects, similar to Sortie F - empyrean Lockstyle chest). Or maybe trading the boots to a ??? at each spot along the adventure

-Kill Fafnir/Nidhogg (or pop UNM?), or merely click the pop for a CS?

The prompts Nynja dumped refer to an item or KI. None of the KI names fit well into that text, so it seems pretty likely that you need:

to start the process. Unless the boots themselves are quivering, I guess.

I sincerely doubt they're going to make you pop and/or kill Fafnir/Nidhogg.
Why not, not like everyone cant get the pop item from login points.

Because they are loathe to force people to use login points like that. I can't think of a single time they've ever tied upgrading an item or getting a fancy anniversary thing to having to spend points.

Now having said that, theres a big difference between a 10 point Pest Repellent and a 1500 point Sweet Tea.

Not like Sweet Tea only comes from login points.
It'll probably be one of those things that just loads in your inventory when you log in during the event.

I doubt you'll need to kill Fafnir or Nidhogg too, it could be something simple like just click the spawn point with the boots equipped and get a cutscene (of a dragon). Or perhaps the questline gives you the ability to force pop an "event dragon", but then again from the text RadialArcana posted, it says nothing about fighting a dragon, just that you saw one, so zoning into Dragon's Aery might even be enough. Compare that with what is said about Shadowlord, which implies a fight with Prishe alongside (maybe a special fight and not the htbf).

That list of events she is describing is also the FFXIV alliance raid, minus the part about Blueblade Fell anyway, I don't remember that being shown at all

Yeah I saw that on MrHappy channel. They are hyped that it's something hinting for event in FFXIV, while I simply think it's FFXI event referencing the raid from FFXIV.
If you have access to a FFXIV account, the raid is pretty cool.

Just got the +1 Boots, follow the hints Prishe gives, go to all the memory spots, and trade them in Blueblade Fell.

The item notes that Funk posted says TP+3000 each 60h, what seems pretty good item to use before some epic battle without fodder like Gaol. It is a longer cooldown, but also match said Gaol, as it is not like you doing everyday
