M:TG Final Fantasy expansion LEAKED!
This will probably be some of the BEST Final Fantasy-themed artwork we get in a very long time.
I'm still not buying it though. (The prices are ridiculous, the drop/pre-order was mishandled, and there are some really poor hit rates on the collector/foil/whatever chase cards). Godfry said: » What a stupid and misleading title... Seems like you just can't read. Also yes the pricing is way too high to even consider. A few thoughts looking through these:
Most of these cards are rather simple which is by design being that it's a starter kit similar to what they did with the Assassin's Creed set. More nutty effects/reps for games will be in the main set as well as the commander decks. So we may get another/more complex version of, say, Steiner or Beatrix. Or not. Multiple games are represented despite the face card's game. This is likely the case for the commander decks. The "Hero" tokens may as well be the stand-in for player characters for both XI and XIV. Makes sense for Equipments to be the cards to represent granting jobs to creatures, given the Equipment subtheme. A lot of people were speculating something similar to the DnD class cards such as this: https://scryfall.com/card/afr/180/druid-class FFX's "Extermination" not being name "Overkill" is a crime. The Albhed language is retained and can be ciphered. Exdeath T-Posing for dominance is my favorite art from this batch. Actually I haven't played M:TG this century. There are a zillion mechanics I know little about.
What is the price? I was thinking maybe a box just for the artwork. I haven't bought any cards this century either. $200 per Play Booster Box
$70 per Commander deck $450 per Collector Booster Box It'd be worth the $20 for the cloud vs sephiroth starter pack to store away for 100 years as a collectible
For anyone else who entered the post super confused.
M:TG apparently stands for ‘Magic The Gathering’. Viciouss said: » Godfry said: » What a stupid and misleading title... Seems like you just can't read. Also yes the pricing is way too high to even consider. Yeah, because M:TG is something every single Final Fantasy 11 player know. Dropping Final Fantasy expansion leaked on FF11 forum is misleading shorting Magic The Gathering is just a click-bait dishonest title. Yeah, Final Fantasy expansion followed by a LEAKED. 100% puts the stress on 3 letters most people here don't know anything about. If I go to Fromsoft Twitter and say LEAKED AC6 expansion followed by JAV everyone would think it's Japanese porn, not AC6 expansion. For those who are curious, these cards are from the leaked Starter Decks for the upcoming FF Magic set, coming out on June 13th this year.
Starter Decks are targeted at kitchen table casual players and the rares are included are unique to these decks only (but they are usually very low power level and not sought after). The commons / uncommons are almost always found in the main set as well with a few extreme exceptions over the years. That all being said, this leak is due to WotC shipping out some boxes early in error to several areas (Brazil, Spain, etc). An email was shown online from WotC asking some suppliers to send some boxes back as they were sent in error. So far only these decks are spoiled but I expect we will see a slow trickle of full set leaks right up to the beginning of June. WotC does official spoilers about 2 weeks ahead of a set releasing, so that all lines up. Unofficial spoilers usually try to "one-up" WotC once they start rolling their stuff out. "M:TG Final Fantasy expansion LEAKED!" So does everyone else posting ITT. Garuda.Chanti said: » Collector Booster Box?? How is this different from the Play Booster Box? Some cards can get 5 or more alternate art treatments in 1 set now. Garuda.Chanti said: » You thought M:TG stood for Marjory Taylor Green? No... I thought it was cheap youtuber content creator bait, is all. ![]() Fenrir.Niflheim said: » Some cards can get 5 or more alternate art treatments in 1 set now. I don't Utube, I therefore can't see the connection, sorry. Garuda.Chanti said: » Marjory Taylor Green ![]() 1. Yeah, mrs Chatty made a click bait thread,
