'Bout; Slightly less worse each time
3 Tukuku Shells + literally 3 Bone Chips (or Gelatin, Fiend Blood, etc) to get the Curator Moogle obj.

It is likely a translation issue. The JP client points to "Macrocosmic orbs"
Just came back to report none of my dailies would complete. Had an LS member report none of their dailies populated into the menu. Thanks Fujito.
All dailies done, there are a lot less this go? Idk.
Got alerted to the Bout by the Rhapsodies mission ones auto completing while I was selling stuff in Bastok Markets. The cosmic orb thing definitely refers to Macro/Micro-cosmic orbs. Use it to enter fight, trade cracked orb to Shami. 320 Plaudits earned so far. (Well just as soon as Wildskeepers in first 3 zones respawn at any rate) Soo put Wildskeeper reives as objective.... but without a campaign to speed them up.

That's so cunty lol At least WKR is a one and done, so you only have to get 1 (2) in the full 2 weeks, that's not difficult. Asura.Eiryl said: » Wow. I mean, yeah, that's lovely and all, it's just a whole *** mission line is worth less than doing one ambuscade. Just insulting to even add it.
BUT. It does keep mules from hitting the cap, so top 10 will be a little better for a real player, I guess. (on paper, because all multiboxes complete RoV, obviously) Speaking of, I just noticed, there isn't even one ambuscade objective. This started as ONLY AMBUSCADE!!! To wtf is ambuscade. I'm also unable to complete any of these VB ROEs. I had Rov 1/3 autocomplete when the event started but have been unable to get credit otherwise. Have tried full shutdown with no luck.
I saw this bug posted, and the response is probably it:
https://forum.square-enix.com/ffxi/threads/63561-Vana-bout-Daily-Objectives-do-not-complete Apparently you can "remove" VB objectives, but cannot re-add them. Why this feature exists is beyond my understanding. Just clicked through them thinking we had to accept like any other ROE. I didn't think they existed. But there he is, out in the wild.
You didn't notice is says remove objective, when you clicked on it my guy? You mean you don't rapidly click through all the other RoE objectives accepting them? Why would the assumption be that this menu may be different from the rest? What is the feature design of removing them? Come on you can do better.
Yeah I don't think the popup text had time to appear before I pushed GO and onto the next, the same with all other RoEs. Why would it be different?
Also, why would you want to delete them at all? AtsumiUnicorn said: » You mean you don't rapidly click through all the other RoE objectives accepting them? Because they literally said it was, and I said it was at the top of the previous page. Sure I admit that I didn't read it either, but every other RoE menu you spam accept and move on with your life. Rip 80 points, I'll recover. Here's hoping they reset properly in 26 minutes. AtsumiUnicorn said: » Rip 80 points, I'll recover. Here's hoping they reset properly in 26 minutes. And don't stay on cancelled for the rest of the event... We've spent 2 years complaining that you can't cancel them
The first day someone complains you can cancel them Holy ***. Of course there was going to be one. (many) That's all the attention you get, thank you for playing. Would also note that it probably wouldn't have killed them to copy paste the code one more time to allow players to re-accept them if accidentally removed.
Assuming of course it doesn't break everything trying to re-add them after removal. (many) I'm a returner who's only been back for 2 rounds of VB, so also sorry I missed all your complaints about cancelling them!!!! Why do you want to cancel them btw? only MACRO cosmic orbs work (20 seals). micro didn't count FYI
AtsumiUnicorn said: » Why do you want to cancel them btw? People wanted to cancel them because you could only receive a set number of them at a time and getting 'stuck' on one that you didn't want to do cost you a slot. Being allowed to cancel them gives you more flexibility over which objectives you want to take on. Adding a menu to reactivate them would be non-trivial, based on my understanding of how it's set up. Keep in mind this game doesn't use a modern engine, they're building it in VS6 using bespoke code from 2001. Shiva.Thorny said: » AtsumiUnicorn said: » Why do you want to cancel them btw? I believe in intuitive menu design, and granted this is FFXI/SE so maybe I assume too much, but if every other ROE menu trains players to spam accept then this is going to burn a lot of folks. Hopefully others see this discussion and don't do what we did. I don't think I even saw the "Remove" dialogue spamming what I thought would be accept. Thankfully you cannot remove VBs, just the VBDs. They auto accept if it wasn't clear to most people
Clicking while viewing brings up the remove button Can easily be accidentally hit, just while viewing There is no NPC to check when Wildskeeper Reives / WKR will repop, right? I dunno why they didn't add that before if not. Camping WKR is not very fun.
Reset did give 5 new dailies, so good there, and its 80 points today as well. By my math you can get a total of 1390 points this round, assuming every reset is 80 points. That gives you 190 points of wiggle room from gold tier, so don't remove too many dailies :x
