So no new besieged items to buy?

Level 10 Besieged giving 200 IS accolades now, as well as 2.5k exemplar points.

Wow awesome! Can't wait to regularly farm Besieged then.

...oh wait, you can't.

I can't decide if I want them to add some actual useful gear to Besieged.

Double edge sword indeed.

Of course you always want new, better gear. But no one wants to farm 100 besieged to get it. That sounds absolutely miserable.

I think with this comment they made, we can expect that when they release higher Besieged levels, it will be much more frequent:


Probably not Domain Invasion rotation speed, but at least a few times a day I would expect to see a Level 15 Besieged rolling through.

I assume they are going to let us improve those besieged weapons, their initial cost is way to high to be ment as a quick weapon to participate in besieged for noobs.

Oh boy, I can't wait to have to farm 8.5 million ISA for an astral weapon.

For now, it's zero effort content that might save me time later.

Absolutely miserable seems a little overkill unless that's your opinion of every grind in the game. I'm sure people will start automating it once they add rewards. No reason to worry about having to actually do stuff for the people that don't already.

It's always a good idea to get a head start on points before the actual "goodies" get rolled out. I still regret not having tens of thousands of Segments saved up when Odyssey Gaol was released and ended up not being able to join bosses for a couple days (big loss, lol) because I didn't prepare early. It tapered off anyways and now I have more points than I can ever reasonably spend in any given day, so its all relative.

The real kick in the nuts will be if you've done Besieged Levels 9-14 religiously for months for meager IS accolades in preparation for the rewards list, then Level 15 comes out and it's like 10k/event. Only to find that your grind amounted to basically insignificant points :(

Until they pull the same bait and switch *** with is accolades they did with muffins.

If you stockpile early, you can get a weapon later if you need it or a leg up on real rewards if they come out.

I'm sure the earning rates of higher tiers will continually increase. There really isn't much FOMO other than you aren't one when they are invading.

The bait and switch had nothing to do with FOMO.

At least there's RR3 scrolls in the meantime

lvl 9 cap which was last month was 100 accolades, this months lvl 10 cap is 200, go figure. Only difference is the 100 is apparently guaranteed as soon as you touch a mob, the extra 100 at lvl 10 needs to be worked towards it seems.

Like Monstrosity, right?

Yeah, i got 152 today.
Problem is that they're still too weak.
It takes around 5 minutes for them to retreat.
You either are a blu/bst and AoE the sh*t out of 'em, or you need more time.
If you're unlucky enough to spawn in the wrong zone of the map at the beginning, by the time you get by the entrance you have 2 minutes to earn your 200 accolades.

Secondary targets take like 1/10th damage from AOE, at least on BLU.

You can buy 2 marbles per character, so 75k. Roughly, because 1 might've been disproportionately purchased.

It's hard to get an idea from those numbers.
How many players have like 8+ characters per account and bought marbles on each?
And how many of the marbles bought actually won rank3?

For instance I know I haven't won rank 3 in a while, and I only buy 4 marbles each time.
(haven't checked today yet, I'm talking about past bonanzas)

About 30 or so off from a rank 1... never gonna get that painting.

That's certainly better and I won't complain, but if you ask me it's still nowhere close to where it should, personally.

My problem with this is that unless you have a somewhat regular schedule (once every hour? once every two hours? Something like that) it becomes impossible.

You login and you're doing something else, even in the chance you manage to get the message that Besieged is about to happen (does that KI even work reliably for that?) what are you supposed to do, drop everything you're doing and go do besieged?

It would've been fine 10 years or more ago but the world has changed, MMOs have changed, our lives have changed, do you really expect to plan my in-time game around the remote chance that besieged MIGHT happen?
That's incredibly unefficient and frustrating.

I don't demand being able to do Besieged whenever I want, but I need to at least have a somewhat predictable schedule. Knowing that it's gonna happen exactly 16 hours from now, that would be a good enough compromise, even if the window is large at least I know it's gonna happen.

If this happens, you can still earn reward tiers if you're on a job like BLU or something which can buff/heal. Credit is not only based on damage done or mobs killed, you can earn credit simply through actions performed, such as buffing yourself/allies. So you could reasonably idle outside of combat and just spam buffs without ever participating in the fight.

There is some interesting coincidence that the database on here also has ~75k characters.

the 2 groups dont overlap perfectly but it is interesting.
