I actually feel the same of this guy.
More than I would like to admit.
I played way later than him. My addiction lasted longer than his. I had like 3 or 4 major breaks, but aside those, probably ive been playing this since 2012.
I remember when the addiction actually hit my psychological. Since then i manage to control better my impulses when i back from break.
Im still not done with FFXI, but im catching up my irl stuffs before my next “season”, what i hope will be my grand finale.

I somehow like hearing some more realistic view of AI capacity.
Maybe we are nearing a plateau, and that plateau still far from something like sentient machines or replacing human brains.
Maybe only small increments in AI from now on till they can come up with some of the next generation processors.
